G'day Dave The woven mouse is so authentic it makes what I was planning to do, looks like a second, no fifth cousin of yours. I'm think I will go the extra mile, to try to copy yours. BLOODY MARVELOUS MATE! Havagooday Greg

G'day Toni I'm wish there was another adjective that could express how bloody fantastic your workmanship, (or should I say workpersonship to be politely correct) is. But alas, an Ozzie term I havta use. It's a bloody ripper! And I wish I had a fraction of your talent. Havagooday Greg

G'day Nils This is not my idea, but it is brilliant. I copied it from the Kit basher guide and was posted by NemadM. I thought you might like this idea for you boats' cover. Havagooday Greg Copy paper and toilet paper Ok, idea is not mine, thanks to Jack12477 and MTaylor to push me in this direction We were discussing how to make canvas for hatches in small scale Mark mentioned, and ... Base is made from regular 80g copy paper on which is glued with deluted white glue, one layer from 3-layer regular toilet roll paper, to imitate rough structure Rest is playing with very thin layers of acrylic colors .

G'day Dave Persistence is truly a virtue my mate. Well done and the final efforts has an exceptionally quality to it. Thanks for showing us your failures as it also remind me of what Thomas Edison said when he was trying to find the correct filiment to use on his light globe. "I only showed that there was 1000 filiments not to use" or something simular.😆 Havagooday Greg

G'day Denis Looking at the dead eyes on the chain plate, they seems very large. They are almost the diameter of the mask. I could be wrong, but I don't know anything about clippers, so forgive me if I'm talking bull 'manure'. Havagooday Greg

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
