Michael, While searching for perfection tires and bores me, it gives you happiness and pleasure. I really admire your determination and patience. And always Nigel's qualified and competent advices... :-)

Sorry but what I want to say is the lines colored in red. BTW I don't know if on the real Wasa this knighthead was monoblock or plywood. As you work so detailed, I found courage to make a blunder by asking a question like that. Sorry. :-)

Hi Michael, Full of labor and struggle. At every topic one gear up... Will you have any plan to smooth away the plywood aspect? One of them is you who learned me to see the beauty of the detail... After many returns to previous works the result comes with much more detail... Sorry for the question

I cannot understand why Corel don't change their kits. Through new technologic facilities, it's so easy and so quick to product much more accurate kits with all these feedbacks...

Michael, Your humility and gentility as always. Thank you. Three months ago we finally moved in an apartment having three rooms of which I arranged the small one for my hobbies. For now, at every time I enter the room, Berlin and me, we look to each other... :-)

Hi Michael, You really know which details can show the ship more beautiful, more realistic... You don't use knots even at this scale but sub-wrapping (correct word?!)...

Hi Buck, From now we have to inspect your photos with much more attention. In any corner, in any shadow it is highly probable we detect some minuscule handiworks...

Many thanks Raz for your aid to me and especially to Doris. And it's really shame for me (being a follower of Doris) to learn some precious information from the Log of Doris by a member joined at 18 Nov 2014 and by his first post :'( Many thanks and many apologizes...- 883 replies

Hi Doris, May you explain how have you given that perfect waved shape to the flag? It's far away from my skill but I will be happy with the knowledge. Thank you very much and I am sorry if I asked a question already answered...- 883 replies

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
