  1. It's easy to gesticulate than to line up many praises that you deserve completely, in front of a work such yours...
  2. Thank you Alistair, It's a pleasure for me to learn that you look often at my Log, even though you didn't drop any comment... And to be aware of this now and to receive your good advice, interest and encouragement...
  3. Teşekkürler Ucho, Thank you for stopping by and nice comment...
  4. Hİ İan, My competition may have to be against myself beholding the other builds... I can only admire others, I just emulate them... I have not a feeling about being jealous... But there is a invisible boundary. if I fall into the mistake of passing away this boundary I will be lost somewhere, there lies a shoreless land, there is no limit... This will make me unhappy... The level of the obsession is the key... It must be a little for me... Having to know my limits between my capacity, time, necessity, merit and priority... This must be a joy... Whatever I said is just for my intrinsic behavior... On the other hand, even your unbelievable work on the stove only is equal to two Berlins of mine!...
  5. Your skill of rigging Hamilton, is as good as yours of wood works... (Is the grammar right?... I don't know)
  6. @ Ian, Thank you Ian for your kind encouragement... It's unbelievable that the info about the scale of a model ship has misgave me... The scale is everything on a model... And this info remains still as it had been... @ Randy, @ Augie, @ Mark, Thank you very much, for your confidence in me and kindness... @ John (texxn5), Many thanks for your nice thoughts about my Berlin ship and my Istanbul city... In fact Istanbul isn't a city but a country a fortiori... Official data of population is 13 millions but unofficially it's 20... More than the population of many countries... It's frightening a little but she is a sophisticated lady, versatile, multitasking, having many characters in one body... She is like a vivid living being in beauty with her necklace of richness of history... I am in love with her... And you, you will always welcome here... @ Keith, Many thanks Keith for your kindness... I don't deserve your nice thoughts but they sound very well... I follow your Log. The alterations, modifications... Your imagination... Your courage for the new... Flight from the classic... Spirit through freedom... Belief in yourself... Your determination and nicely accomplished attempts... The results... Skill of course... This is you who are themadchemist... @ Sjors, Yes Sir, roger that!... I will build an other vessel after the Berlin!... But how can I tell about gaps in front of a fascinating wiev of a rank such yours, Sir?!... And you see, I copy your way to answer the posts... @ all of you, As I told in Augie's Log, after seeing here a lot of fantastic builds under construction and have been constructed; I have a dilemma to protect my enthousiasme to continue to try to get closer to these masterpieces OR to lose my enthousiasme to go on after being aware of feeling uncapable to get closer to them... Then I realize again and again that this isn't a competition... Ashamed of myself... The first alternative dominates the second by a little... And WVH remains still for a first alternative... I am still her admirer...
  7. Hi Theo, Thank you for your kind words... Yes, the tools help me much to gain the time, to work precisely... And it's very enjoyable...
  8. @ Sjors, Thank you for the comment... I follow the plans... There wasn't any chainplate for the mizzen shrouds... From now, all my efforts will be for not missing out any ratline... @ Richards, @ Michael, @ Jason... Thank you for your kind encouragement... @ Juergen, Thank you for your nice and good thoughts... for the vacation and also for the build... @ Hamilton, Thank you... You are right, the sun energizes me, it makes the work become lively @ Nigel, Thank you for the nice comment... I am thinking that I am far away from the finish line... Many blocks, ropes, sails, a lantern, some ornaments, flags, anchors... I had decided a year ago - if it happens - to build Corel's Wappen Von Hamburg. Berlin and WVH are two ships of Brandenburg Navy... But after learning the right scale of WVH (on the box 1:40, on plans 1:50 (the manufacturer had posted me the info that the right scale is 1:50)) I have walked a little away... Berlin's is 1:40... I would prefer the two ships of the same navy be in same scale... I have realized in MSW that there are many fantastic ships to build... Maybe Berlin will be the first and the last... Who knows?!...
  9. Sorry Pete, for my intervention... It's an unnessary reminding, a little thing that you know very well but in these situations when the ply layers are in sight, I prefer to replicate them as scratch...
  10. I have also confidence in your sense of humor... Please don't take me as uppity...
  11. Hi Ian, Do you think to leave the title as HMS Unicorn by ianmajor... Or to change it to The Stove of HMS Unicorn by ianmajor?... Very detailed, fantastic scratch work...
  12. Salute Rear Admiral... Congratulations!... You had arranged the gap between the ratlines, thank you Sir... But one ratline at the top of the mainmast on starboard side seems missing comparing with the port side's... Sorry Sir... You had forgotten to take the photo under candle light as Augie had suggested... Le Mirage is improving nicely... Your patience and skill are increasing parallelly to your rank...
  13. Ratlines between the mizzen shrouds... Mouse on the mizzen... I realized that these small pets had been so familiar to the crew, so friend... all around on board... and had entered into the ship vocabulary...
  14. Many thanks Keith for your kind and best thoughts... I catched up the updates and your plans about your build... the discography of the PF...
  15. The nature is always amazing... In fact what about a vacation is not only sea, sand and sun... You, you are living in the middle of the nature and the naturalness... I saw the photos of the life around your beautiful home... Like an endless vacation while working...
  16. It's easy for me to say one thing which doesn't match than to count one by one all things which are good or beautiful... And there are unnumbered nice pieces in your build... I know it's impossible that you were not aware of this little gap, but this was the other way to say that except this little gap, all is near perfect and your build is improving nicely...
  17. Ahoy JPett, Have you decided to return your rank to "Lurker"?... Where are you? Have you abandoned?... I am courious about your updates...
  18. Too hard is the model... but very beautiful and nice and clean and... and... you are doing it... A long voyage to a masterpiece...
