OK. I have come to the conclusion that Amalio isn't building this model himself at all. I believe that there are 1 inch tall boat-wrights that build this model in the middle of the night. I'm sure that I see there tiny foot prints in the sanding dust. That's what it has to be!! No one can work that precise in that scale!!!

Frank,
I love the way you used material, and pieces that you had on hand. Methods and processes that you wouldn't find in a model building handbook. All from you own eyes and brain. Computer heat sinks! That type of building to me is gift that not everyone has. It's a type of genius in my book. Great stuff Frank!

Frank,
Great to have you on the forum! I am head over heels with your Trojan build! It is fantastic! The little information you gave in your gallery page only wet my appetite to learn more about how you used composite decking and welders mask glass and etc. Did you use any drawings?

Very professional job! Museum quality with the display case and the installed lighting!! I would love to see a subdued lighted picture in the case with the model lighting turned on!!

On the positive side: The Navy's Sub-Safe and Level-1 material control programs grew out of the resulting investigation and research of the Thresher disaster and there hasn't been a workmanship related USN submarine disaster since. (Not counting the suspect Scorpion incident).
Hand Salute to all the submariners on endless patrol.
