  1. Hmmmmm, Wikipedia pulls up the following picture for Aurora. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_cruiser_Aurora
  2. Hi Barry, Are you still searching for "Super Drawings in 3D. The Battleship Bismarck" by Waldermar Goralski? As I just noticed that the GPM site (http://sklep.gpm.pl/en/publishing/books/schips/bismarck-3d) are selling it now for 77PLN which works out about A$28. Of course shipping will be around the same again. Cheers Slog
  3. I think it might be the Russian Cruiser Diana? Cheers Slog
  4. Hi Nigel, Just want to double check its NOT the Hyuga that Eamonn suggests. I found a photo almost identical to the one pictured but a 'correct' mirror image with the text; "The new, "helicopter-carrying destroyer", the Hyuga, is a 610 foot long, 18,000 ton warship that operates up to 11 (mostly SH-60) helicopters from a full length flight deck. Although called a destroyer, it very much looks like an aircraft carrier." Cheers Slog
  5. Hi Eamonn, It is indeed the RFA Sir Galahad. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RFA_Sir_Galahad_(1966) Cheers Slog
  6. Hi Jud, I like your current train of thought. Another hint; saw active service. Slog
  7. Okay, here we go again. Number covered over. Cheers Slog
  8. I believe its the Norwegian collier; Storstad after a collision with the Empress of Ireland which sank. Cheers Slog
  9. Well done Andy. Quite a history it's had. Your turn. Cheers Slog
  10. Hi Jan, WWII and yes a hospital ship. Operated close to home and also played a part in a famous engagement. Not sure if the photo is artificially coloured or not but the actual colours are correct; "Article 5 of the tenth Hague Convention of 1907 ("Adaptation to Maritime War of the Principles of the Geneva Convention"); white hull with a green band interspersed by three red crosses on each flank of the hull, white superstructure, multiple large red crosses positioned so that the ship's status would be visible from both sea and air, and an identification number." Cheers Slog
  11. Thanks Jason, Sorry David. This, I imagine will be to easy but here goes. Usual flag and markings erased. Cheers Slog
  12. Hi Jan, I believe it is known as Berlin class, 2 ships with an option of a third. But still can't find a name for any of the individual ships. Cheers Slog
  13. Hi, I am pretty sure its the Royal Canadian Navy Joint Support Ship (JSS) but can't find an actual vessel name. Cheers Slog
  14. Hi Jason, you nailed it. Your turn Cheers Slog
  15. okay here it goes. A different change of pace from my usual offerings. Cheers Slog
  16. Okay using only the clues given (I wasn't aware of google picture search until Captain Steve brought it up but didn't use it!) I think its Ben My Chree? Cheers Slog
  17. Hi Eamonn, you are correct, it is indeed the Carnot where every room has an ocean view! You didn't have to wait long LOL Cheers Slog
  18. Thanks Jason, I feel guilty as my last three correct answers were obtained thanks to Jan and David providing clues to point me in the right direction. Apologies gentlemen. I am going to stick with pre-dreadnoughts but I am guessing my next picture is probably one of the easiest in the game so far as it is so distintive but just had to post it. This has to be one of the most incredible looking warships ever! It looks awesome; definitely would be on my bucket list of must builds if it was available. (and 4 others but not the same class )
  19. Thanks to David pointers at country and type of ship, I think I found it. Is it HSWMS Altair? Cheers Slog
  20. Hi Steve, Love the heart and collar, looks great. How are the 2 ends loops secured to each around the mast? Cheers Slog
  21. Hi Jason, Is it HMVS Cerberus? Based on the 'tenuous connection' I have changed my guess to HMS Glatton? As I believe wolverines are also referred to as gluttons Slog
  22. Hi Jason, Stupid guess but is it the 'early' (pre-trafalger or something) HMS Victory? Regardless it is a beautiful model. cheers Slog
  23. Hi Ron, Looking very nice! The colours look great. Slog
  24. You are correct Dave. Your turn. Cheers Slog
