  1. Thank you very much! They are definitely something different to make! My wife was very pleased with them!
  2. My Admiral’s last house for Christmas is done: It’s game on for the Revenge next time I work on my models!
  3. Welcome!
  4. I use generic craft paint brushes for larger surfaces, like hulls, and dry brushing. I use Qualrite Miniature Fine Detail brushes for detail work and miniatures.
  5. Where is the model located? I ask because there may be someone relatively local to you or a model ship club in your area. I am not interested in another project myself, but there may be someone in your area that is.
  6. What about just buying a glass dining room table and putting lights below it? Those run about $110 from Home Depot.
  7. I have the base kit. It is incredible!
  8. Also, paint from the inside out. That way you can cover up your earlier mistakes as you paint.
  9. Use a piece of a paper clip. Paint it and no one will ever be the wiser.
  10. Nice job on the coppering! Constitution is looking good, Mustafa!
  11. I got pieces of heavy-ish cardboard for at least two of the decks now. I will need between three and four decks total for this one. There are two internal gundecks and then the weather deck, with a forecastle. I might drop in an orlop deck too, just for structural integrity, which would be the 4th deck.
  12. Thank you very much for the information!
  13. If you are going to convert a table to a light table, how thick does the acrylic sheet need to be to prevent flexing while drawing? I am going to frame in the top of the table in my model room with 2x4’s, put LED stick lights inside and then close it in with a hinged 4’ x 8’ sheet of acrylic, but I am debating between a 1/4” thick and an 1/8” thick.
  14. The 100-gun Ship Victory by John McKay has full sets of cross-sections of Victory. They are quite excellent.
