Thank you Kurt. It's appreciated..... (I just wish the outside forces trying to stop me would take a crack as someone else for a change....)
They are, I haven't been able to get on any modelling for nearly a week now😏. Looks smart though EG

Now that was a good film! And I was surprised at how good the remake was! Jeff Bridges played the part brilliantly. 🤠

Be your own judge.... and thank you for your service... I know my father had a hard time with the opening sequence to Saving Private Ryan, probably the most seemingly real sequence of combat landing operations ever filmed... I always relied on his judgment since he went through five such landings during WWII.... It brought tears to his eyes.... (and the shakes, he tried to hide them but we saw)

Again thank you for your service....
To someone who was not even born the first 15-20 minutes give me a sense of reality and I cant think what they felt, but still got up and pressed on. I for one will be forever grateful for the courage and sacrifice of the armed forces in ww1 and 2 and subsequent conflicts.
So thankyou.

Good for you. I found good quality scrubbing brush bristles make excellent grasses and sedges.
Looking forward to seeing it, and trust me it'll look good😁

You know, Lou, when you get done building this model you could pick up a 4 inch x 8 inch board and make a nice rice paddy LZ for the display. <challenge> all you need is some water, white glue, paper towels, some grass clippings, a little dirt and gravel from the yard and voile ! 😁😁😁😁😁😁
Yes diorama, great call Jack 😊
Sorry Lou but I badgered Jack so you got it too😁

If I can have music playing while I'm doing anything I will. And I'll listen to almost any genre.
Both my daughters can play the keyboard but cant read music, don't know where they got it from because I don't play and the Admiral is tone deaf.

I did get a few words from the admiral though along the lines off "Why make them if they make you so upset"
Sounds like we have the same Admiral 😋
I'm glad you didn't launch it for it's short farewell flight.
Keep the Faith OC.

I think that's my problem. Sometime back, followed a couple links to Civil War battles and then Civil War sea and river battles which led to nation Wars sea battles and land battles. Now I kind of hooked on the Warfare History Network. I think I need to go into a detox center and break the habit. Or not.
That's just it, you can't stop at one battle or campaign, you have to go through the war. It's not a bad use of ones time!!

Looks like you've got it back OC. Done a grand job again😁

Hello again, thanks for the likes, I have officially ran out of wood now and without funds as I'm not at work and waiting for the rescue package, work on Triton and Winchelsea is on hold till I am able to purchase some more timber.
But planking on the hull is finished and looking at it I'm thinking I will copper or paint it as it is not too clever. I may copper one side and paint the other, we'll see! Lots of sanding to do before that though.
Til next time
Cheers

Full stop right after "ability". This isn't a race, a beauty contest, or a concours d elegance. It's just a hobby. The only person to be satisfied is the builder. You're doing great. Hang in there.

The ships were quite good as the RN borrowed many designs and had French prizes in service. As Mark says it was the crews that let them down. Too many officers killed off due to the Revolution and that they didn't get much sea time because of the British blockade.
