A question concerning being a newbie, how long is one a newcomer,  I ask as I have been here just over a year and would consider myself still a newbie when I see how long some people have been members? 

There's no particular reason why I'm asking just curiosity

Maybe a bit late but  Chris Wattons Vanguard models has some 1:64 gun carriages, pear though not boxwood, but they look very nice. There is a link to his site where the MSW sponsors are.

Good news,  as I was struggling to find some non walnut carriages and barrels for my Triton, without having to go abroad and incur expensive shipping

I ordered from them yesterday online after phoning to discuss stock. When viewing online, if the item has an 'add to basket' button, it is in stock. I have visited their wonderful shop in the past and didn't want to leave...

Looks  like I missed the start, interesting subject Denis. 

I'm really tempted to get an airbrush  so very interested to see how someone just starting out with one gets on, as most of the people with them have quite a bit of experience under their belt.
