Despite your frustrations, they look good. I wonder if you would be able to get them "fully" functional, since you would have needed a certain amount of friction which you do not really get with PE, or loose real fast. You can still make them twirl though ...

If I'm not mistaken, I should receive one presently ... I might make the whole UK destroyer fleet if I don't watch meself! I know there is a Dutch destroyer amongst the lot, just need to find it, and get a fitting kit to build it

Do me a favour, count the posts which are related to this build, and subtrack them from the total postings on this build ... I don't mind some fun ... livens things up, but I start to wonder who's build this is

Than I should stop all together ... just pulling your leg. I know about the timeframe, but even that is to long presently, so I'll just take it very slow, like a threehunderd year old turtle at strolling snail pace

I'm still at the tripple AA's, can do but a few a day, sometimes none, cause they give me a bl**din' headache, which I cannot use presently - neither at work, nor at home - so you will have to do with the other builds I'm at which are not swamped by those iniminitiny parts

I'd rather have a drunken sailor than a corrupt politician or govmnt offical. Now lets stick to boats/ships

All the white is scratch build. The machine gun platform (what you call the tubs) is all scratch, as I couldn't make it from the existing one. I'll use the latter on the HMCS Huron. On the bridge there is still the radar to remove, and replace with the range finder and controller which I recieved last Thursday This evenings play result ... For Lou: Vicky and her tubbbbb Bow-morfosis (nearly there ... (rangefinder and controller copyright Shapeways)

Mr Bunny, with Lou there is a certain rule ... It's a bit as with my dog, she, if in doubt, or uncertain, runs for her duck (toy) we call Donald - we can call ducks duck without her getting one - with Lou ... if in doubt .. he definitely takes the mickey out of you, so you react accordingly

You could have used two tones of primer, would have made it vastly more interesting ... Ah, well ... it's what one would call dull ... when I look at what I've done in PE, and this dull, I might even say absolutely boaring, straight forward antenna ... I'd choose the easy way out, definitely, my stiff ramrod of a tripod. No surprises there ... Which primer do you use, it looks quite dark

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
