  9. Hi Antony, thats a beautiful project, and a very interesting boat, that gondola, with asymmetrical build halves, can imagine its quite a challenge to get this modeled in scale...., but am sure you`re going to nail it.... All the best and good luck with the start on your yard... Nils
  10. Hi Thanasis, thanks for your kind words, and your compliment, they are much appreciated.... you are very welcome in visiting the chebec build log, and your own models I like very much, are so well built and representing the beautiful Greek boats of the Aegaeis and its typical islands vessels. I consider those model vessels as top notch. I just took a dive into the boat builds of your gallery, as well as your personal web site, to bring them and your skills back to mind. I shall be very pleased if the one or other details of my work could be of inspiring nature for fellow builders Nils
  11. nice building technique and set up Ilhan, you have a very neat work desk, wish you much fun and success with this wonderful scratch build... Nils
  12. Good news Greenstone, ! please post an announcement in the forum, when the yawl (in 1:48) is ready for purchasing in Europe, Thanks... Nils
  13. Hi Greenstone, that 68 mm long 4 oars yawl(scale 1:72) is looking very nice. Is it a kit that can be seperately ordered, and can Master Korabel produce that small Yawl kit in scale 1:48 as well ? Nils
  14. Thank you very much Christos and GrandpaPhil, for your words..... Also thanks to all the "likes" Nils
  15. Many thanks Kees, there are many basic operations that could make life easier when sewing, provided one knows them.......my mode is only "learning by doing", and as far as the necessary stich types and arrangements are required and many things could be improved...., the "taylors" under the fellow builders may please forgive...the humble attempts.. NIls
  16. beautiful art decoration Karl, those badges have incredible fine carvings and look marvelous... Nils
  17. Christos, I was`nt sitting at the desc, but standing next to it bending half over the ship and tying some sail lines to the belaying points. The stand plate shiftet a bit over the desc edge and everything suddenly tilted out of my control..... Nils
  18. wonderful work Piet, I know its not easy to model gunsmoke and ships wake, but here you have brought fine action into the scene, well done ! Nils
  19. Thank you very much for your kind words Denis, much appreciated !! I think I`ll do the binnacle cabinet for the compass, so the helmsman does`nt loose the orientation, and then I`m through with it. I`ll prepare for some "as built" final photos for the gallery to round it up. The dust protection glass case will take some time to complete, but no hurry... Nils
  20. Hi Sandor, here a pic from my book " Schiffsmodelle" of Wolfram zu Mondfeld, regarding to non battle tyings of guns...... the barrel is upward and tied contact, face to the bulwark. Breech ropes and pulley are set tight, and additional chocks hinder the wheels from moving... Perhaps there are different methodes as well, but this is one I found... Nils
