  1. Hi Jeff, Thanks for you`re word, much appreciated..... To answer your question..., I`m preparing to build a mediteranian Chebece, like the ones used and sailed at the north African "Barbary coast" for traders and also pirates. I purchased a base-plan from Amati already in scale 1:60, and am enlarging that by 25 %, so that the new scale will be 1:48 with a total length of 900 mm. The plan drawing needs to be modified in order to suit my needs though..... When all is prepared and thought through it will start as a seperate scratch-build log Nils
  2. Lovely work Cabrapente, love those storage areas under deck, very realistic, and the beautiful wooden tones are a delight to see !! Nils
  3. Hi Martin, nice work, I like, on the balustrade with the sheaves... Nils
  4. Many thanks go to Denis, Bob, Grant and Michael, and to all the likes for clicking the button.... Denis, the room capacity is now exhausted spacewise for displaying ship models.... Bob, Thanks for your words, I`m pleased that the rather detailed build could be stood through in one long run... Grant, glad you like the collection... Michael, yes, she comes up with quite good ideas sometimes.. Nils
  5. Hi Dan, thanks for your kind words, I`m pleased you like my little "museum", at least the models wo`nt need to suffer dust over the months to come... Nils
  6. last update.... today the KWdG went into it`s glass case in my hobby room.... The shelf was lowered a bit in order to compensate the case hight, an with the admirals help the glass surfaces were cleaned inside / outside before closing the bonet and everthing was fitted into position. This now closes the project... Nils
  7. Hi Bob, your Halifax build is coming along very well. love that that clean and tidy planking job... Nils
  8. Chris, give it a chance and Google : Preiser 65303 Preiser 65302 The figures are in period fashions around 1900 and in Gauge "O", which I think is scale 1:43, available in worldwide web shops (do`nt know in down under) Nils
  9. Hi Mij, I very much like the way you are building the modified Chebec after the basic Amati plan in scale 1:60 Well done ! I am also at the piont of building this ship and am in the preperation phase right now. The bought plan from Amati was though enlarged by 25 %, turning out the model length to 90 cm, and so then being in a scale of 1:48 instead Very much liked are your carvings and the way you did these. Lovely the eagles and the bow figure head. I just came across your log by coincidense and wish you all the best with the further fitting out of this nice model for the case if it is not already completed at this time...... (the fore last post by Mark is over a year old...) Nils
