I did manage to get a few stays on today, then the sickness come back and yhe left hand started to shake just a bit to much 🙃 😅. Break time. @vvvjames thank for your well wish, @tmj you know how modelers tend to great exaggerated the size of thier ship lol my next build will be a Wasa and it is only 38 inch lol. Still bigger then the Harriet Lane. A few stays then the boom and gaff I am stopping for the day shaking bit lol. Maybe I will go un box the Wasa, start a new log for it, we will see Tomorrow I will run the running rigging , there is not much really, 12 blocks and 10 lines thread @.25 mm. Hopefully I feel better tomorrow. Thanks my friends, be done by the end of the week lol. Knocklouder 😁

Good luck on your journey, I just finished the Amati Pegasus it is a fun ship to build .There are some very good logs for the Pegasus here, that's how I buildt mine by following the logs. Looking forward to seeing yours come together. Bob M.

Well I know that this will be my last 1:144 scale model that I will do. This and anything smaller is very difficult to do. I am not happy with my work at this scale, My next build is almost four feet long, 7 mm deadeye that the 3/32 can almost pass through the holes lol. The jackstays and foot ropes went as smooth as a Neanderthal can make then. The eagle perched is the figurehead, no divination on the face , but its a bird. The upper ratlines on this scale had me making changes real guick. No need to show you but they were causing more damage then what they were worth. A decision on ratlines was made. I was going to use the CA method. I mark the shrouds with a white marker and ca then on. Not happy I gave up try ratlines at this scale, just shook to much. They look ok at normal veiwing distance, and will look great behind the Pegasus. A little bit of running rigging, a boom and a gaff the ever so delicate Bowsprit mast I will be done soon. I get anxious about finishing and starting a new log. The kid in me wants to go, but the old guy rules, and moves at a much slower pace. Lol. Seems I came down with another round of phonia, I got bad lungs and get this infection more than I should. Modeling helps, really.. Trying to tie it all up soon, most things are made just have to rig it..Like a true modler never again will I build at this scale lol. Best of luck everyone despite the bad cold thus year is starting off great, added 7 to ten years of models ships to build to my stach. That should give me enough time to get my coins together and buy another one. Happy New Year. Bob M.

Well it came down to 3/32 deadeyes or my sanity 🤔, they won. I made my apologies to @Gabek the man go's out of his way to make them for me and I can't use them. I admit to defeat, lol. They are just really small. 3mm in the middle 3/32 just below, above is kit supplied single blocks. What I decided to do is use the kits metal deadeyes for the upper shrouds and on the bob stays.I use 3mm deadeyes for the lower, I am a little disappointed in my eyes and the shakes but I am older so is to be expected. And yes @Keith Black , once so far if you are wondering, lol just before I took this pucture an upper cut to the mast snapped it off. Lol. Got some family stuff going on so I am not working on much. All good just I have to deal with family. Lol. Ratlines are on the horizon for sure, lol There is supposed to be a compass but not sure about that. Thanks for peeking 🫣. More to come. Knocklouder 😁

Merry Christmas ti all and al the best in the New Year. After meeting up with @Gabek I rushed home and painted all the deadeyes, the 3mm and the 3/32 . Well painting I did up the masts and boom as well. Then I started to install the deadeyes, then realized I had to work on the mast before I start tieing the shrouds. To much of a hurry, lol. Mast rings boom rest those sort of thing , I won't be able to put on if the masts are set. All the chains are done, down to work on the yards, foot rope ,blocks, jack stays , tiny stuff, after that.... Just rigging left to do. Hopefully by the end of the year ha ha. If I don't finish it by then I'll just take mt time and finish it next year. Have a good holiday season, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all. Knocklouder 😁 Kenny ⚒️ Bob M. 🎄

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
