Hello Alex, It's good to see you back. Nice work on the rudder hinges and the anchor. They look great. Anja -
Hello Bug, Although she is a detailed replica, the original galleon was once part of Spain’s West Indies fleet. So my suggestion is to post the pictures in the subforum 'Nautical History'. http://modelshipworld.com/index.php?/forum/5-nautical-history/ Looking forward to the pictures. Anja

Dear friends, My apologies to you all for letting you wait so long for an update. Your patience has been put to the test many times, and you've never let me down. I really appreciate that a lot. I feel I owe you an explanation for being so absent lately. A few weeks ago I was offered a now position within the company. One that will give me the opportunity to develop new skills and knowledge. I have been in my current job for over 20 years, but I hit a ceiling. I wasn't happy anymore. The job didn't challenge me or learned me new things. I was ready for a change. While it's okay to hold onto some of the things I've learned in my previous job and use that knowledge in my new job, I realise that my new job has it's own way of doing things. I know the skills I need for this position, and learning any that I need to develop or improve. Learning each new skill is my goal during my first few months. This has kept and keeps me busy and gives me little time for something else. It's a real challenge, but I love my new job. Thank you all again for your patience and understanding. Anja PS @ Udo, my hands are itching to start the Hannah.

Hello Jack, It's great to see another Viking ship being build. There are several logs here and Von_Kossa is building one from Billing Boats as well. Just have a look at the logs. And just like David says, if you can't find the answer there, we will be here to assist and help you. Good luck with your build and have fun. Anja

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
