I wonder if the Wipe on Poly will make the wood darker.... Sometimes, it does that on very light wood, such as maple.

I was lucky enough to see about 6 of them flying in formation at Oshkosh,WI a few years ago. Quite a sight, in the air and on the ground.

That is a beautiful part. The galleries (toilet rooms) were by far the most difficult and challenging parts of the CAF kit of the HMS Bellona, that I put together. I wish I had something of that nature, 3D printed.
You did a great job at creating these complex parts with your software.

Hello David!
This shrimp trawler was built according to Project 1329 in a single copy. It was called "Krevetka" (in Russian this is shrimp).
Funny how the words sound the same. In French, shrimp is a "crevette". Very close to the "Krevetka".

These scrappers are the best way to trim and carve a hull. I used these on my HMS Bellona and I could not have done the equivalent work with sanding paper. In the old days, modelers used a piece of broken glass as a scrapper. Now, we have these pre-shaped tools that are so much easier to use.

Beautiful model. It is hard to believe that it is made of paper/card.
Great assembly.

It is important to give them some good stuff. They are so cute..... By the way, the Mustang is great too, but no so cute 🙂

I will be interested to see how others tackle the anchor rigging.🤔
BE, I love your approach. This is something I have been struggling with, on my Bellona, since CAF Model does not provide much info. The Anatomy of the Ship has a little bit more details, but these anchors are so massive, they are really delicate to place on the bow, in a realistic way.

1:80 Endeavour – America’s Cup 1934 - Amati
in REVIEWS: Model kits
Posted · Edited by yvesvidal
Amati offers this model in two different scales: 1/80 (as described) and 1/35. In my opinion, one is a little bit too small to appreciate the details and the exquisite shape of the hull and the other one is frankly speaking way too large for most display rooms. I wish they could still offer the one in 1/48th or 1/50 as it is called in Europe:
