  1. Hmm. Could those be done with sheave holes just dimpled and they buy would have drill them out? Just randomly thinking out loud.
  2. As I recall, those fitting kits were separate items sold separately from the ship kit. They do seem to be rare birds at best.
  3. Congrats, Glen. I'm just gobsmacked by this build.
  4. It still us great and even bigger and better from what I've heard from family. You'll definitely need more than a day to see all of it. And it's still growing.
  5. Smok, I suggest you open a build log for your model(s). It's a great way to get help and also meet others.
  6. Those are Hunt's plans. I've have yet to see anyone finish one of his designs. To my knowledge there are no CD of Hahn Plan however, there is one source I'm aware offers "legal" Hahn plans.... https://www.modelshipbuilder.com/ I've bought some from him in the past and he's not shady and delivered a good and legal product. By legal..... he's just the middle man between the buyer of the plans and the Hahn family.
  7. As I recall from 20 years ago, the B-36 was outside. There was small fuselodge of one inside the museum that you could walk through. I suppose one of these days, I should make a trip back to my old home town and visit the museum while I'm there.
  8. Welcome to MSW, Yann. Do open a build log. It's the best way to meet others and also get help.
  9. After eleven years, welcome aboard. We're happy to meet you.
  10. Wow.... I didn't know there was river race until now, Eric. Some days I miss living in the St. Louis area.
  11. Rik, Mike had some good advice. If manuals, written materials are desired go a Google for the tool and add "manuals" to the search. Little Machine Shop is a good place to start for documents.
  12. I hope things turn around OC. I fully understand and have experienced "crap happens".... Kick back and recover physically, my friend.
  13. Welcome to MSW. MSW is an English language forum so could you please post in Engish? There are numerous translators on line if you need one.
  14. Wow.... your final bits and pieces really bring that boat to life. Congratulations on your build and looking forward to your display.
  15. My thoughts were/are a bit different. They may very well have used yellow ochre paint since gole, even brass was expensive and a storm and/or combat could (and often times did) blow away decorations and external members.
  16. OC... Paul is right about the USB port and external keyboard. I forgot about being able to do that. Might even be able to find a used one somewhere.
  17. It was a bit nerve racking to watch those videos.... but great to see it all worked out.
  18. Better late than never to the party. Something a bit different here on MSW which is good thing.
  19. Congratulations. This model is a masterpiece by any definition. It's amazing to me how much detail you can put into such a small scale model.
  20. OC. Been there and done that. If you can, take into a computer shop and have them look at it. It may (fingers crossed) just need to opened up and everything cleaned up.
