  1. Mike, I think it's the format of the pictures. I saw one "link" for an HEIC, file (I think that's what it was). Try JPG or PNG.
  2. Thanks Masa. I find the same care you're using for Aliexpress to be the same ones I used in the past on E-Bay (I don't use them anymore).
  3. Please do not use your email address as screen name. MSW gets crawled by a lot of bots looking for any personal info they can find. And also Google, Facebook, etc. If you use your email address or even put it in a post I can guarantee that you will suddenly be getting lots and lots of spam. So if you want give your email to someone... use a PM. It's secure.
  4. Basic rule of thumb and applies to model building: "If at first you don't succeed, try again. If you still don't succeed, dig the instructions out of the trash can and start over".
  5. Harley's right.... I'll have to do some digging as I don't recall if we had to flip a lever or what to change the feed side. I usually had right side so didn't have to change it but then, I just helped haul the guns out to the bird then helped the 1st mech mount them. Didn't pay a whole lot of attention, I just followed orders. Did a lot of this:and sometimes this:
  6. I'd take 140 from Medford over the pass (past Mount McLoughlin) to Klamath Falls where I worked. So.. yes down in Oregon (southern Oregon, ya'll ). There were usually only two days a year I didn't make it to work (studded tires required or chains, I carried chains even though had studs all around on the car) however, I always made it home. Might have been 9 or 10 at night, but I made it.
  7. Welcome to MSW, Old Fart (aren't we all though?). Chris gave a good answer. After that, look around the logs for a model to see what's involved.
  8. Looking great. I think it's almost normal that the first build of something with 3 masts takes forever. Especially with work and family things going on.
  9. I think it will look great. Just enough color difference for everything to look right.
  10. Really? When I was crossing them down here, they never closed them. Only sanded and plowed them. The catch was, had to get off the county road and onto the state road. The county didn't do diddly squat. When I could make to the state area, it was lovely and next to no traffic.
  11. Last legs? Nah.. just surface rust. A bit sanding, painting, whip up the grease and oil and she'll be good as new.
  12. Ah... nice Holly 4 barrel, wonderful headers, probably a decent cam and....... super long exhaust pipe with street mufflers to kill power and make it sound respectable. I remember those days too well.
  13. I have to keep telling myself "this is a model" over and over again. The detail in the kit and what you're adding Grant is mindboggling.
  14. Looks good, Denis. I'm happy they worked out for you. Side note, I find it strange that the .50's were only set up to feed from the left. If I'm remembering correctly, with minimal effort (maybe on the part of the armorer) they could feed from either side.
  15. Ron, Your best bet on additional info would be to the top of the Kit Build area. You find a pinned topic called "Quick Find Indexes". Open the first post and find the "wooden ships" in the post. Click on it and it will download a PDF of all the wooden kit builds. Inside, goto Constitution and you'll see all the builds, past and present. Just look for the ones by Bluejacket and you'll get tons of info.
  16. The diorama looks most excellent, Jack. Everything just fits together with nothing seeming out of place.
  17. As we say here... "so many idiots, so few villages". I also qualify for the job.
  18. I hope you have a good trip and get your batteries recharged. Been there myself a few times in the past. Glass box? I thought you were looking that the landing lights on gear door? Never mind.. It's clear in picture you posted not in Joe's.
  19. Wives are funny like, Lou. about keeping the tools out of sight.
  20. Saddle? Are you asking about the carriage? Or the mount for a swivel gun?
  21. Welcome to MSW, Fuji from a former resident of Illinois.
