  1. I"m finally catching up and my jaw is dropped and the wow's rolling forth. Wonderful work, Kieth.
  2. Welcome back "home", Ilhan. Great to see you back in the shop.
  3. Congratulations on a beautiful model.
  4. There are some in the scratch area of folks doing 3D work to make plans for their own models. Not sure how you'd find them though. There's also this area: https://modelshipworld.com/forum/172-3d-printing-and-laser-cutting/
  5. Beautiful model. I'm believing it's even more impressive in person...
  6. Looking excellent from here. I noticed to that the Hahn plans are a bit sparse, shall we say, in place like the bow. He admits in his books that developed "shortcuts" to work better for him. Some, are wasteful in wood, others not. Still makes for beautiful models though which is a good thing.
  7. Where's that Wayback machine? We really need one for discussions like this.
  8. Looks great Rodolfo. I did add "FINISHED" to the log title in keeping with our policy.
  9. Have you looked at the planking tutorials here on MSW? They are located here: https://modelshipworld.com/forum/98-planking-downloads-and-tutorials-and-videos/
  10. Welcome to MSW, Peter. Andrew gave some excellent advice on where to ask this question as well as his above response on documentation. The discussion area he referenced will get your questions more "eyes' as this basically just an intro area.
  11. Welcome to MSW. The benefits of a build log are that let's all the member see and follow and.... comment without have to go off site. It is also a great way to get help when you need it and also to help others building the same model.
  12. I'm jumping in a bit late to this..... as far as the keel bending..... make sure the bulkends fit onto it with minimum resistance. A tight fit at the "notch" will warp a keel real fast.
  13. The pictures of 1 and 3 look to be the same planking to me.
  14. By the way, I should to my above comments a bit. There's a lot on the web about this ship including some papers of researchers. It's worth the dive.
  15. Hmmm.... pros and cons and like Jerry, happy to see that kit gone from the market. To turn the AL kit into the 1855 ship (going from fiction to reality), it isn't that hard, all things considered. Have a look at my log where I did this.
  16. Offering the books to others isn't a bad thing, IMO.
  17. Valid points. I forgot that it's one thing to do some for one model and another to mass produce a bazillion of them.
