Hi Max,It's great to see another Occre Endeavour build, you're going great so far.Pretty hard not to open the box, you need to check all the parts are there ha,ha.The best advice I can give you on the kit is go by the measurements and placement of parts by the plans or the colour instruction book, not both. The photos in the colour instruction book must be a prototype model. The written instructions sizes are wrong sometimes as well so try part lengths against your ship.Capt Slog has an Endeavour build close to the Occre one, lots of other excellent Endeavour builds here as well.Good luck any questions just ask.

Great idea on the bowsprit step,i'll use your sandpaper around the old brush trick, unless it's copywright. She's looking great Augie, must go and use my seat of ease.

Foremast, just the blocks to add now.The plans had 8 rows of woolding but most others guys had 7 just used some card each side. Not sure about the bands between the woolding what do you think?

Thanks Mark, bit of a guessing game between the instruction sheet sizes, plans with different sizes to that and locations of parts and the colour photos from what must have been a prototype build all different.

She looks great, well done,I like the aerial and whole ship photos. -
Thought I would do the bowsprit yards before I moved on.The colour instruction book has the yards mounted further up the bowsprit than the plan so another part to put where I think looks right.I looked at the rigging plans to see which angle the blocks should be placed. The bowsprit came out ok for me lots of Endeavour logs are amazing, way beyond my skill level.

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
