  1. Welcome onboard, as many has stated there are quite a few builds of the Bluenose. Enjoy your build and don't rush.
  2. That looks amazing, my 40 year old Constructo model is not finished yet and have a lot of brass parts as for superstucture.
  3. Phil, I love your history telling... which makes your build even more interesting.
  4. Hi Paul and a warm welcome to Model Ship World, it is a friendly place where you can get answers to your build questions. Greetings from a place half way between Seattle and Portland.
  5. Fascinating story and a warm welcome to MSW.
  6. After watching a video clip about full size plank bending where they used distilled vinegar, I thought to give this a shot. I am so happy I found that trick as it worked out very well for me. Vinegar breaks down the molecules and softens the wood, applying heat to get the curves and bending and you have the shape. The distilled vinegar doesn't change the color of the wood. Application time about 10 minutes
  7. Thanks for this info as I am in need of blades.
  8. I have this model waiting to be built...... sitting in the waiting room for some time. This hull of yours look very nice.
  9. Hej Mike,

Var exakt bor du i Stockholm? Bodde själv i Österskär och senare i Gröndal.
    Glad sommar till dig!

  10. The little sister of HMS Wasa, HMS Falken was recently confirmed found. Her state is not in any shape of recovery. More diving will commence
  11. Interesting tool, now that I have a mill this is some I would like to try to recreate. Oh, by the way, did someone said, "we are suckers for tools"?🙂
  12. The 2D needs to reworked for 3D and STL files.
  13. Mashuno, from the Pacific North West a warm
  14. Threebs, I have to say this model look amazing, keep it up. You will be done in a heart beat......😊
  15. Jackson, I just went through your build log of HMS Greyhound as it looks really good. Best luck to finish your build.
  16. HazeGray, knowing your capacity of creating the plans for 3D printing this model with its history looks fascinating. Waiting for more from you and maybe a future printed ship.
  17. I have used the same urethane on one of my rc yachts with good results. That is a beauty, nice job!
  18. Justaguyinvegas, I like your log, however one thing I would had done before any decking commenced, I would have epoxied the inside of the hull. This to eliminate some possibility for the water to come through. However, the finish does look amazing.
  19. Roy, I have two models of San Felipe, both inherited and started, the smaller came with two SF-boxes with items hopefully to make one complete ship. Please get back to your build as it looks really good.
