It sits on the port side and is where the scraps went after the oil was cooked out. From here it goes in the fire when needed as fuel.....next is the cooling tank which goes on the starboard side.... If you come up this way again, try and go to "Battleship Cove" it is more down my way somewhat of a drive, but I do think you would enjoy it very much. I served on the USS JF Kennedy which is going to be moved to somewhere around Newport, RI and made into a museum. When they get it moved I'll be there. It might be a couple of years though. I also want to see the Morgan again when the restoration is completed. I've been on the Conny 3 times now, the last one in Sept. Henry gave us a private tour which was absolutely unreal.....what is Battleship Cove? The Massachusetts is one, and I think there's a fleet sub. Haven't been there for 30 years so they may have a lot more by now. I made a wash of black paint and thinner to put on the tank to tone it down. I'll probably put a few coats on it before I'm done. Meanwhile here's a couple of pictures. This completes the individual structures for the Tryworks. The hardest thing about the Resistance Solder Iron, is the ground clip. It is hard to control, and is cumberson.
