I'm pleased to know the CT showed no complications, Sjors, take it easy, my friend, medicines account only half of the cure, rest and lots of fluids/juices account for the other half, and most importantly, sorry to say this, but no sawdust or exposure to paint/glue fumes for at least a month  ;)

Best regards,

Aldo

Tell me about it Sjors

Working on these small parts as I am now puts so much pressure on the fingers  :(

The Samson posts are the worst as they are so small and using a miniature file so accurately is very painful

I do a couple and I have to rest

The normal columns are a little easier as they are a simple sanding to a thinner point at the top but even they get to me after doing a few

Problem is this isn't going to go away and I have to learn to live with the limitations

What I am waiting for is to see physiotherapists to see if they can give me exercises to hopefully free up my fingers and the rest of my joints a bit

So let us look forward to the future

You getting over your illness and me getting a bit of relief in my joints

Get well soon Sjors and Keep it up  :10_1_10:

Hello my friend, I go away for a week or two and look what happens.....the whole place falls apart, everyone down. I hope no one ate any of the shipboard food hoping to get well. I am sad to hear you are sick, but happy to hear that you are getting better. I'll try to send you some pictures of New York to cheer you up. Get well....

Hi Mick, John and Augie,

@ Mick,

I know how tiny those samson post are.

I just make a few of them…...

When you know your limits, that's a good thing.

Don't go over it then !

I will not do that also……( try to )

@ John,

Thanks my friend.

Every picture will be a big help  :D  :D  :D

I never see New York in real life so any picture of that is welcome.

@ Augie,

Thank you for 5 more minutes…….

Anja told me I can go a little longer because this is the first day in 2 weeks that I have no fever !

The medication helps finally !!!!!!!

But the workshop is still closed….orders from Anja and Mobbsie….so no ratlines for a while  :(  :(

But I'm on the way back !

Slow and steady, Sjors...slow and steady!  Boredom is your friend when recovering - just not a long term friendship!

Glad to hear you are fever free today and that you are following orders from Anja!

Here is a small picture to brighten your day.  This is the cooking hearth at a local Bed & Breakfast.  Ro (my Admiral) wants me to install one like this in our house....

Hello Sjors, for me reading these passages helps our healing, Isaiah 53:4-5;, and Mathew 8:16.  I hope this helps you. Believe.  And also some pictures for you of Lake George, New York.  We are here today, and I thought you would like to see the boat we will go on tomorrow.....the Minnie Ha Ha, which is an American Indian phrase and name.  This lake has 1,000 islands and is beautiful, it is in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York.  Take care my friend, and get well.  We shall be praying for your quick recovery.  The last picture is for when you get well.....Ben & Jerry Ice Cream Banana Split with New York Super Chocolat Fudge, Butter Pecan and Strawberry Ice Cream, whipped cream and chocolat fudge.  I am sorry you cannot get this to enjoy in The Netherlands, but perhaps if you visit the US someday you can enjoy one of life's great perks.

John

Dear Sjors:

Just a clarification: the San Ildefonso's twin sister was not the Montañés, another 74' gunner of a different class. The famous Ildefonsinos were the San Telmo, San Francisco de Paula, Europa, Intrépido, Pelayo and Monarca. Incidentally, she kept her name after being captured in Trafalgar by the British (HMS San Ildefonso). Her Spanish colours are currently on display at the National Maritime Museum, in London, England.

Cheers!

Wow,

Early in the morning history classes  :D  :D  :D

Thanks Trafalgarhero !

One little rectification ( difficult word so early ) I thought it was the twin sister.

She has the same lines and furniture.

I found a site where it is saying that her name was the San Ildefonso and after the capture by the British she's got the name HMS Ildefonso…...

http://3decks.pbworks.com/w/page/915106/HCMS%20San%20Ildefonso%20%281785%29

But thanks anyway Trafalgarhero.

Morning Popeye,

I want to finish the Mirage first before I go further with her .

All the things that are not correct on the Mirage, I can avoid that at the San Ildefonso.

Be patient my friend, It will come !
