Adding Rail… Added sheaves for Halyard and Topping Lift… Mast cap… Winch mounts… Working on shaping Double spreader out of kit supplied 4mm x 6mm Fir. John Ruy Posted March 10, 2023 Author Share #62 Posted March 10, 2023 (edited) Mainmast continued… winches Cleats and things… Adding Striping tape for the rail… O-Rings to attach sails… Attaching Mainmast Great Shrouds… Covering the cable to turnbuckle connection with heat shrink. Great Shroud connection to the Mainmast… Tightening the Great Shrouds with the turnbuckles to align and support the Mainmast. Mainmast completed w/boom… Ready for Fore Stays and Flying Backstays. Here are few closeups of the Topping Lift, Out Haul and Sheet Lines. Looks like I need to move that sheet line block forward on the boom. Both Jib and Flying Jib Halyards rigged… Note: Giant Shrouds removed as I am re-working the Spreaders to install the Upper Shroud. The Upper Shrouds are the turnbuckles placed between the Giant Shrouds. Flying Shrouds (starboard) Two more Flying Shrouds to complete on the Port side and she will be ready for Sails. I can PM you with the MS Word file and the details. It turns out water slide decals are a lot easier to produce than I thought. This would have been a lot easier before the mounting of the sails. Reefing Lines complete… Also noticed that I hadn’t placed the Spinnaker Booms. 😜 Now I can say she is FINISHED!
