The kit includes options for either a bomb or a depth charge. Since the aircraft depicted served on North Atlantic convoy escort duty, I deemed the depth charge to be the more appropriate armament.

The structure that depth charge is hanging from, is that rolled tubes with some metal in it?

The shackles are simple card rectangles wrapped around lengths of wire.

I was just going to ask the same thing.  In a card model, how do you mount such things and how is it locked in?

Only the center portion of the shackle is "load bearing" (if that is true in any real sense), i.e. the center piers are glued to the depth charge on one end and to the fuselage at the other end. The outer bits of the shackle are just cut to length and fitted afterward, held by spots of glue.

I am sure you have already thought about a successor......
