I've just realised my build log title isn't in bold text. How can I change it to bold or am I to late?

That's because you have viewed your build log since the last time you entered a post. It's an automatic thing, it'll go to bold again the next time you post. You'll find the same thing happens to any other build log you open.

BTW - you can't Format a Title (font, colour, bold etc).

I have a model canoe that I bought at a second hand store. I am going to sand the paint, plank over the existing planks, change the shape to add tumble home, etc... generally rebuild the thing. What is the proper forum and name for this type of thread?

We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore is a habit, not an act.

I could carry, paddle, walk and sing with any man I ever saw. I have been twenty-four years a canoe man, and forty-one years in service; no portage was ever too long for me, fifty songs could I sing. I have saved the lives of ten voyageurs, have had twelve wives and six running dogs. I spent all of my money in pleasure. Were I young again, I would spend my life the same way over. There is no life so happy as a voyageur's life!

When you say "this area",

" This area " is part of the " Build Logs " area of the home page.

You are posting in the " Scratch Build " part..

It is reserved for builds that are not built from a kit.

On the screen, where is the icon that is used to enter the info on setting up a build log?

Richard, at the top of the index for each category is a button that says "start new topic." Your title and any tags are entered along with the first post in the new topic.

Information on creating an index for a build log is clear as mud.

As an example, searching for a 'little arrow' to set up an index not a very helpful comment.

In addition, navigation for index creation should be described using Windows 10.

Richard, I'm still unclear on what you are hoping to achieve by revisiting a help topic four months later and posting a vaguely worded complaint. This topic instructs users on how to start and name build logs, not "index" them. What do you mean when you say "index"? What "little arrow" are you talking about? Do you assume that Model Ship World is only accessed by people who use Windows 10? Do you have a specific question?

Several of the posts are indexed to be able to search for specific information on the stage of construction that the reader is currently working on (e.g.- square frames). Previous posts on how to create indexes are hard to follow.

Do you mean this sort of thing:

Seemed pretty straightforward to me, which part are you struggling with?

I'd like to start a build log of a 3D model of a Western River steamboat created on the basis of plans and photographs. This section, however, might not be the right place for a virtual model?

Hi, since being new to this environment and not a person who is "on line" much, I am having a lot of difficulty navigating and trying to communicate with all the various nice "helpers" out there.  I did not reply as I just haven't figured out how so please forgive me
