Hello Frank, thank you very much for your compliments !!! :) :)  I have still a  lot of stuff to do  , but i was thinking of doing them  after the rigging, because my big clumsy hands will ruin everything!! :D

Hi Dimitris

I've often been curious to know if you've always had this talent for ship models, because if you have, you're one lucky bloke. From the painting through to the overall care and attention to details...nice!

Keep up the great work, as always.

Cheers

Hello my friend, thank you for your kind comments, but I don't know whether to call it a talent. It is the first time for me working on modeling in general starting from the Bluenose. I think the most important skills in ship modelling are persistence and patience. (skills i never thought i had in me, it must be that i grown up a little bit) :) :)

All the best

G'day Dimitris

You are so humble, as Patrick said, your model building is a TALENT,  and you should be proud of it.

As you said patients is a must, but for some, me included, it's not enough.

And some more photos... Unfortunately the rigging thread  i use (caldercraft's black  thread 0,75mm) that i have is finished. The thick rope that the kit include is natural color which is no comfortable to use.. Cornwall models is out of stock for now ... :(  So i have to wait for a while!!! :(

Dimitris,

Thank you for the like. It is appreciated more than you might imagine.

Being new to the hobby each task can be a difficult step. Likes and posts and friendly advice from the members offers me encouragement when it is sorely needed. And the community has been very generous. You are all to be commended.

Your like also gave me the opportunity to find this log and see your build. And what a build it is! Truly magnificent.

Hi Dimitris

I am very sorry for not being on the MSW Form very much at all this last couple of months. I have been so busy with house hold chores that seam to be never ending, but the end is in sight. I will begin to try and saw some wood for the hull and framing for my Admirals  African Queen, a little ship that she has always loved , after the movie that is.

Great job you are doing on your Amerigo Vespucci, I just love your Radar mast and platform railings among all of that very fine detail that you have added since my last visit to your log, WELL DONE.

I take this time to wish you and your family a Very Merry Christmas and an even better and Happier New Year to come.                      ENJOY.

Regards   Lawrence

Hello Dimitris,

it can not believe how fast your Amerigo grows. Do you have more than 24 hours per day??? And no matter how well I look, I could not find a piece that is not build clean.

I already say this, but I have to repeat it: it´s so much fun to watch your progress. A beautiful model of a beautiful ship!

Merry Christmas to you!!!

Hi Dimitris

It is always fun to watch the rigging come together, I believe the word that you are looking for is the Stays. They sure do make a sailing ship look a lot more completed just by filling in a bit of space. Looks like you will soon be into the Shrouds and then the Rat Lines with all of those half hitches to tie.   ENJOY.

Regards   Lawrence

Hi Lawrence, thank you for the nice comments and for the help  ...... :) Merry Christmas my friend!! :D
