Looks very good when you show the whole length. The scale is very understandable. If the model would be to big it wasnt a building challenge but a big big burdon and you would loose the fun of building. With her 54 inch she might be big but small enough to handle.
(I have seen lots of people starting a bis scale model but very few who actually finish the project.)
Kind regards, Kees

Wow that little ship needs a lot of work.
Nice memory to your grandfather and that is in my opinion something to remember when you restore the model. Don't over do and let some parts or paintwork like they are now. So when you have a restored model, you can still see your grandfathers hand on it.
Kind regards, Kees

A true beauty this model. And the bells show how serious you are in building acurate models.

Nice boat to build and very high standard when you want to build like the boats on the photo's. In Dortmund I saw this model of a bootlegger. Also lots of other boats like that. I like the mirror finish.

Very nice to see the evolution in your remarkable boat. To me it is a mysterie what your future plans with this boat are but your enthousiasme will help me to start builing again in the future. I wish you lots of fun with the build.
