Hi Mike, things are looking good. Not sure how you are rounding off your stock, but if you were to mark where the transition is to begin make a shallow cut along this line, then taking your knife and starting on the side is going to be rounded carefully cut back towards your scribed line. Use short shallow cuts gradually increasing depth and length as required, this will produce nice square edges. If my explanation is not too clear let me know and I can send some pictures if you want.

The companion way would look good, I've seen you scratch build things before so I think you'll be ok with this too. Could you not modify the AVS(MS) companion way to fit here, making some hinges out of brass would be a way of securing doors open, using gunport hinges slightly altered could also work. Bottom line is you can do it!!!!}

I like that look, reminds me of my work area having that "worked in" look. So why not the boats that come out of it. Good Stuff

I've always wondered about the holes in top of masts if they were supposed to be sheaves or what, you have now answered my query and I Thank You.

 I have noticed you drill an extra hole in your blocks rather than wrapping the rope around the block, do you find this easier or is there something else I am missing?

Looks great, very nice work. When you say that you saturated the rope  do you mean with just water or a 50/50 solution with glue?

The rigging, in my mind, is where a boat really comes alive and you are doing an excellent job of giving this one life. Keep it up buddy

Man have I missed lots, not sure how. Frank you have done  some remarkable work since I last looked in. Your rigging has turned out great and the name on the stern looks so realistic, it is all just fitting together so good, going to end up as one beautiful build.

 I think you need to develop a practicum on your "aging" process, I'll be your first customer      .
