  1. The coppering can be slow going, but it is well worth it.
  2. I typically use white glue for planking (both deck and hull planking). I’ll use small amounts of CA in spots where the planking needs extra help staying down until the white glue dries.
  3. Port side lids installed! I lost one dummy gun down in the frame, so that lid is closed, lol (no point in crying over spilled milk). Making progress!
  4. All lower deck gunport lids are installed! I started on the middle deck! I’m making progress!
  5. It works very well. The biggest thing that you may have to watch for, is that sometimes the wood will absorb the wash, so be careful how much you use, and where you use it.
  6. I am going to use a couple of dark washes and then use dry brushing to highlight and fade the upper surfaces to give the model the appearance of shadows, depth and age. It’s the same technique used for painting war gaming miniatures (which is how I learned to paint).
  7. Mine is because if I get multiple projects started, nothing ever gets finished, lol
  8. All gunport lids are now painted! Next, I need to clear out all eyebolts and start pinning the lids to the hull.
  9. We’ve got a one ship in the shipyard at a time rule in our house.
  10. Still working on the Victory. I’m currently finishing up making the gunport lids. I’m scratch building most of the rest of that model to hone my scratch building skills for this model.
  11. I finished touching up the black on the 32 gunport lids with the port scuttles. They are mostly ready to install. I just have to ensure that all of the eyebolts are clear of paint.
