  1. I'm restoring a pirate ship built in the early 1900.  the ship was built by three inmates in a Georga prison.

    The ship is 5.6 feet long 14 inch wide and 5 ft high. 

    no sail plank on frame construction 

    the ship was quite dirty.

    I also had a Fiji mermaid to restore.

    a small ship that needs work and new sails

    and a raft

     

    I removed all the cannon and deck furniture. and rigging

    wash the ship with soap and water.

  2. I’m restoring a old Clipper ship that over 100 year old
    The model was made for the Hobbs family by Clifford Ashley
    Who wrote Ashley Book of Knots the workman ship of the is quite hi
    The ship is plank on frame. The detail of workman is quite hi
    The ship was real dirty and the sail were coming a part and the rigging turn into dust just by touching it
    enclose are what the ship look like when i pick it up from the customer

  3. I'm finish with the repair of the ship now bolting the ship stand to the base

    than in a few weeks I will be taking the ship to the customer and set up the model and install the glass cover

    before I could start I sent sample of the string to Rope of Scale he match the color and made string I needed to

    repair the rigging. I also order rigging plan which help out

    I shape the mast and coat with pecan stain to match the remaining mast

  4. I been repairing model sailing ship for the last 8 month

    having a lot of fun and I learn a lot from the builder

    what I,m working on now is HMS victory 

    the ship was damage during a short move flip over on top and below what it look like

    I replace the mast , bow and flag staff

    I have white string and print order 

    I have the first section of the broken mast glue in

    and the rattline installed

  5. well I finish the second planking
    added all the deck and plank
    i.m been cutting out window
    I drill small in each frame then cut out by hand I have a sore finger
    only 12 more to go
    I sanded the haul and painted the bottom white
    started working on back end their a lot of casting
    should have done by next week the rear end I still have to cut out gun port
    i.m thinking of buying metal gun port
    by the time I buy the hinges and make the door it might be cheaper
    I have mad a lot of mistake but been able to recover most
    this part has been kicking my but

    been working on this ship for three month so far
    be safe and stay home
