  1. Thanks to everyone who clicked or commented. The aries cockpit was delivered today 🙂🙃 this will be my first foray into aftermarket add ons. It's also a first for PE as well. I'll probably be a bit slow putting this together, and there'll be a bit of alterations to the kit fuselage to get it to fit as can be seen on the box it is primarily for the Trumpeter kit of this plane 😬 Cheers
  2. Are you still planning to have a Borlase Warren figure? I got quite excited as he was born just five miles from where I live and is quite a celebrated fella in Nottingham, England
  3. and welcome to MSW. Very nice models! Looking forward to the next and your build log.
  4. Now I know I said no aftermarket.... well, just been doing a bit of googling and the Aries cockpit looks too good not to have😬😇😊 . Welcome gentlemen, I imagine the popcorn is on its way, Enjoy!!
  5. I picked this up just before our second lockdown. Being a plane from the WW2 Pacific Campaign I couldn't resist. I'm doing it straight out of the box, with no aftermarket. So far I've only just began painting the parts that can be done whilst still on the sprues. I'll get some photos when I start gluing it together.
  6. They look the business OC 😉 You'd be lucky to find a table like that one without some serious cash outlay🤔🧐 It'd be fine Mark pushed up to the farmyard wall 😉
  7. I'm sorry but I haven't a clue, I would have said tables, or a firing step to get to the loop holes? 🤔
  8. Very nice work Justin, doing the deck in situ is a bit more awkward but ensures a near perfect fit, building off the model is easier but can give fit problems. I did my lower deck off the model and ended slightly small (0.5mm or so). Both have their pros and cons. When all is said and done, it is your preference for your build. Whatever you choose to do, I'm sure it will be of an excellent standard as your work upto now😉
  9. Thanks Matt. Hello again, Small setback with the port side first belt, the transition to the stern counter did not look great, in fact it was an eyesore, some very unsightly bad cutting and gaps. The 5 offending planks have been removed, I would like to have it at least looking the same or similar to the starboard. As many have said, the second attempt often goes better. Thanks for looking in. Cheers 🙂
  10. Just as a side note, I put them in the 21st Panzer Division, so they may be the last few survivors of the Battle for Caen and the Falais Pocket 🙂
  11. The painted guys do look marvellous after the ultra flat treatment.! The new riflemen promise to be just as good if not better because of all your practice with the other figures 😉 Very nice 👌
  12. Apart from the figures which I'm going paint at a later date, that's it. Thanks to all for the interest 🙂 Cheers
  13. I'm putting this and the halftrack as finished, I still have the personnel to paint but will do them after I've got some more planking done on Winnie. Thanks to everyone who stopped by, commented, advised, or hit the thumbs up. Cheers 🙂🙃
  14. There is always Chuck's Winnie 😄 Cheerful is looking good, and excellent execution of the "launch and mast stepping " Glenn
  15. The wood deck is great, your paint job to save the moulded anchor chains has worked a treat 😉
