  1. What a blast from the past! I loved doing these as a kid, mainly cos of the larger scale as the others were 1:72. But I never did them this good, a brilliant rendition of an Old Guard Grenadier, jct
  2. Some good looking work there Glenn. I particularly like the companion which looks as fine as a Syren mini kit 🙂
  3. Hi again, so I did my homework and found the post on how to turn a square stick into an octagonal one, and after several abysmal and downright awful attempts, (scrap bin was well fed with this little project) I've got one that is acceptable. I'm still making the cap end pieces and have still got to make the ratchet part . also need to add the details like the holes for the levers. Thanks for the likes and visiting👍 Cheers 😉
  4. You could make a decent wage doing that on some the housing sites I've been on😆 Looking good, gets better with every post, nice job👍
  5. Another very fine model Denis 😁 You certainly do, do justice to this type of plane!
  6. Nice work Jack! It looks suspiciously like it's from above, hmmm popcorn, Lou in the rafters, just sayin'
  7. The like isn't for the drop obviously 😉 You're doing good 👍
  8. I lost myself for an hour or so looking at the cakes, as EG said all are catered for. It'd be a real shame to cut some of them up.
  9. I think the top one would be great for Lou and the bottom one, ain't that same as Denis' build? Both are fab and bound to tasty
  10. Mmm good idea OC, question is though what type of cake would we all agree on?🤗
  11. Now I never have that trouble as the Admiral won't go near my bench but the door is often closed usually while I'm still at the bench her excuse? You're getting dust everywhere.
  12. Looking good Tom, I don't envy the amount of sanding you've inflicted on yourself, but must say you doing great. Love the fact it's your dads sub, must give you extra motivation 🙂😉
  13. My two granddaughters are all Harry Potter at the moment, the grandson is the stereotypical boy and loves cars, bikes and planes. The girls are quite creative (drawing, and lego) then along comes the boy and he'd do well in demolition, then WW3 breaks out and grandpa is back on mission clear up (see previous post)
  14. Oh yes I know that look well, but then I get distracted on mission clear up and carry on where the kids left off
  15. and welcome to MSW from further south on the Trent
  16. I'm like that if it looks good and tastes good I'll eat it, no questions, cos I don't want to know 🙉
  17. Would you say it tastes like venison, I like venison leaner and tastier than beef, I've also had water buffalo but not bison
  18. Thanks for the compliment RK, as is your Victory build at a much smaller scale😱with much more rigging.
  19. I've been told that ostrich is more like steak than bird also, I'll have to take their word for it as I've never had it.
  20. They're not so clever when it comes to traffic😁 with the amount we see in the gutter of the roads round us.
  21. You got there before me Tom 😉 apparently the blacknecked pheasant didn't like being taken over there in the latter 1700s and didn't thrive or survive
  22. I thought you meant swan for a moment, although in the medieval age in England they often found their way into the table for a royal banquet
  23. Now I don't think I have ever seen trumpeter swan here in the UK but I could be wrong, I do agree that they are beautiful birds, I do know it is a criminal offence to capture and eat swans over here as they all enjoy Royal protection. A little googling found this on pheasants in the USA "The Chinese Ringnecked Pheasant, known for its colorful plumage and outstanding taste, was released in the United States in Oregon in 1881." So I think the top photo in my earlier post is probably a ringnecked pheasant. But still very tasty😋
