I've done the full length one's. You need a little patience OC. Just glue section by section. Glue the first two/three stanchions, then after an inch or two spot glue the next, and so on. If the railing is bent/wobbly, spot glue at shorter distances. When you've finished the entire railing, you glue the remainder of the stanchions. Quick drying CA is the easiest way to get it done

epoxy, Ken ... CA isn't marvelous on plastic either, but we make do as it's the nearest best thing with PE an' plastic. roughing it up helps considerably

Okay wimp I started at 1/350 with stanchions ... not to bad, but the drill bits break easily, that's the only drawback

Greg, Were just not as uptight as Oz, or US when it comes to spotting planes. If someone wants to get a plane down, he/she doesn't need to do it that near the airport. There are plenty of gadgets to get them down at any distance ...

Ah no way you blame the wifey. She was getting her aluminum foil back! V2 ... why use CA to put plastic together? V3 barely (or barly as Sam [src] would say) satisfactory ... but you got one which doesn't look bad at all from up here, which is actually half a globe away ... Ship's habits?

You don't have another sheet of PE? looks a bit poor on parts ... These are like my previous and current build ... every time I find something I missed. That's the pits with Musashi that big bastard has to many sheets of PE, and very unclear instructions

Ah, yes ... apparently ... appearances deceive, Lou ... having no navigational skills, for what's driving a car ... even without navigational software, it is hard to turn your hand to it Thank you for the likes gents, as always very much appreciated

The non build issue kept me more distracted than the build ... still managed to do a few more stanchions ... ruler for size ... on the right side which is the for'ard of the structure, there will be two 2pdr pom-poms at the X turret a 4" (102 mm)/45 Mk.16 twin guns. I've ordered the pom-poms, though I have to make them single units myself (took something rather big to chew on, despite it's size that is) at the upper structure I still need to find out what to "install", but I'll get there in the end. I need to make a fixed railing on the top, whilst the lower stanchions had a cable as top. If I can't manage to make the single pom-poms work, I may switch to oerlikons as those have been part of her armament at one time ...

Ken, Thought you should know, considering your stay in Europe ... not much esoteric about, but mostly over complicated. A single system would be nice for a change ... but hey, why do it the easy way, when you can do it the hard one ... Lou, As far as I'm concerned it is a foreign language ... the only problem ... my boss wants me to speak it

Glad you came out in one piece, Clare, although inconvenient, the damage was merely material, and replaceable. It is a pain when you have to deal with an uninsured party, for the chance to get your due is often nill. Good to hear you resolved the travelling problem too ... The build(s) can wait, so can we Cheers

Thank you Lou, Denis, Ken, Greg, Chris, and Mark. It's always good to come back here amongst friends!! In that respect people at MSW are unique ... so far I haven't seen that anywhere else ... Denis, nope, not yet threading, I had another superstructure to pre drill ... so far I wasted 4 bits on fourty holes ... that will be fun when it comes the real work foc'sle, and deck ... probably need to restock on bits ... and as for keeping distracted, Greg, I've got some fun work today ... writing a script to convert the Lambert72 coordinates to WSG84 (or EPSG:4326 to EPSG:31370) and vice versa ... in short convert Lattitude Longitude to the Belgium datum and back ... if any time remains ... railings on the for'ard superstructure, and finishing the bridge with, some say, necessary atributes ... weathering the deck round B turret, and I found some railing from Eduard, which I can apply after cutting as a handrail on both sides of the superstructures, still a lot of work to be done gents, I for one will certainly have my share of distraction. the linnen thread looks like it has vastly more fibers sticking out. Won't that pose a problem on the end result?
