  1. Thanks for the likes and the visit gents I finished, OC ... some damage on the sides where me drill slipped ... got a box less (10pcs) of those drills ... I'll need stocking up for the German WWI sucker ... before I get to that one ... somewhere in the (hopefully) near future ... Ships in bottles ... now I leave that to Igor, he really is a master when it comes to those minute boats, and ships.
  2. Ah yes I know the sentiment ... the PE on my destroyer is a multiplication of the kit's value ... and then I haven't even started on the 3D printed parts ... fortunately a hobby can cost serious money
  3. I had some time time to kill ... (just a sample of the work ...) So I drilled 110 stanchion holes with a 0.3mm drill ... by hand ... Since work is taking over a lot of the after work hours too, you'll must indulge my infrequent updates ...
  4. You are right Tony, but with every additional pass through software, you loose image information. Since I am no fan of cloud software licenses (I like to own it, and not be surprised by increases in yearly license fees) I switched to software which is afordable and can deal with the high demands Thanks abbout mentioning the DNG converter, forgot about that one! Cheers
  5. got one of the woody joe kits, and find the language isn't a real problem. the images make a good story book
  6. She turned out rather well Mr Bunny I see you've got HMS Daring destroyer on your wish list ... I would have liked to see you build the former namesake, also a Daring class destroyer ... (you might add Finished to your title... just a suggestion)
  7. Nice work on the rigging Mr Bunny. Dressing her up for the school prom ...
  8. Hughe isn't it ... Your tennons turned out good Michael, especially like the double dovetail.
  9. You have some very interesting sights in the US ... pitty I'll never see them ... already at page 3!?!? At the pace you are going you've finished bissie in a jiffy ... each time I am remembered by your build to drill out the doors, and with each build I forget ... (must be the age) What putty do you use here?
  10. I would say they were an insult to your prowess. When I look at the previous ones, they were still above average, but not in compliance with your build. Wonderful craftsmanship Cheers
  11. Quite so Gaetan, although I try to minimise the corrections, if at all. However, since I got another camera which gives me double raw, I am forced to use other programs, as e.g. Photoshop CS6 can't deal with it
  12. Starts to look like a hull with the grey paint. You might want to check the rudder's placement when you install it definitive ... just a thought
  13. Thanks Geatan, I am not displeased with On1 got their 2017 version, PS uses somewhat much PC resources, the other two I do not know. Pat (Banyan) isn't very pleased with On1. He prefers another one. If I am not mistaken that would be Photo Ninja. For Linux users Darkroom is a good alternative
  14. Lovely job Nenad. I like the added details to them
  15. you are going to do something too!? Looks interesting the "vents" , I would have expected them smaller, especially at the corners. Nice shades ... the wood that is
  16. You should take into account, that you will add a finish anyway ... the grime/fat/oil/tallow on yours hands will take care of that in time Lovely clamps, Mike
  17. Lets just start with a productive day at the time. It seems I am also running after modelling time lately, and rarely get a chance to really sit down at it. Hope you get your three days in a row ...
  18. Not so modest Johann. If the fabric underneath would have looked like something more in scale, it could have been the real deal ... very convincing result Cheers
  19. Thanks Sam, much appreciated. Especially the Inca drill ritual was rather extreme so it seems ... missed the blood letting though Stay busy ... look who's talking too! Thanks for the thumbs up. It's quite a fun build, but slow thanks to bosses and customers ... ah well nothing new for you there.
  20. if it's very thin bras you might try piercing it with an awl ... most drill bits will tear that to shreds ...
