  1. You've got quite some parts to build it up, mine were not so finely detailed ... though they were a lot smaller too
  2. that wasn't Murphy ... he comes after the first one, twice! You should keep your mind on the work at hand, not that lovely lady you married!
  3. Dennis, the PE primer I use with a brush too comes from Tamiya. Works rather well, like the rattle cans I use for larger surfaces or a lot of parts to be primed at once
  4. Good to have you aboard Sam. Hardly hiding, more off radar ... Plastic builds ... yes, ah, well, uhm, I get the feeling it's brass with some plastic for the cohesion ... although I've found some nice 3D printed parts in favour even of the PE I'm more for the slow cooked park on the bbq, so I skip both their's If you grab a chair on my left side you can better follow what I do
  5. Always willing to comply with your wishes Jan. I'm just sorry you can't find the time to keep her spick and span (same expression in English, funny isn't it Jan) now I understand the reluctance to take sharp images and you keep them blurry It's a pitty life kicks in so frequently ...
  6. Thanks for the likes gents Harley, Good to have you aboard. You are more then welcome. It could well be possible, but as a non-native English speaker I used the word which came up first as my brain can only hold so much information. Between Dutch, French, English, German, and a couple of programming languages, things tend to get scrambled up ... but thanks for the "correction", I'm not aversed to it, I just hope I will recall it next time I need it! If not, just hit me again, eventually I will have to remember as is the case with repetition. Cheers
  7. Cheating on Judy taking a damsel out "boating" There is time enough this winter to continue on your build, Michael. When I see the weather at your side, I would be doing the same if I had the oportunity. Enjoy while it lasts! Cheers
  8. Slow and easy Jesse. You'll get there anyway. Lovely work on the rigging. I have to look up something about that mouse making business which might help you out, even if it is only for the next time. Super job!
  9. Besides the galley stove there are eight both on the decks as well as on the rear and forward superstructures, Lou. At least, that is what the drawings make believe ... I'll try to make a photo for your reference library
  10. You are moving along steadily Denis. I like the way the camouflage comes out ... better now her decks are filling up. A few more carley floats, davits & ship's boats, paravanes, and a lot of railing ... curious as how you will attach the latter ... keep it up sailor
  11. As long as you do not bring Barbie, I'll mind when and where to throw Ken arround ... Darn, build log Mod in town, "run for your life before he gets you a live" ... missed your distinguished presence Mark. Could you get them rough necks lined up a bit, then I can continue I moved the PM outside the door, I hate that sweet sickening stench of popcorn, besides ... it takes space for seats This morning I got "British Destroyers (1892-1953)" by E.J. March out to get into the drawings of the H-class. I'll be soldering vents the coming days, they look like the stack on the forrard funnel of Dennis' Vendetta, an H-shape on a tube ... so far I've located eight with different heights ...
  12. You two got lost somehow ...? or joined the build on purpose ...? You can park it at the back ... outside ... with the other junk ... Don't tell Ken ...
  13. PE parts, more to follow Depth charge shutes 3d printed quad torpedo tubes supports centre gun isle Structural members front super structure and water tight doors ... as usual
  14. I wouldn't try either, I don't think the local jail hotel is of an acceptable standard ... their hospitality isn't warm either in that establishment I found this, but no companion way: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JdTKxxp0K6E
