  1. Hi Denis, I just put her on the bathroom scales, I know thats not exact.... but to give an orientation... 3700 gramms in the moment without the paint-drying funnels.... Nils
  2. Hi Denis, thanks for your words.... much appreciated.. the surplus vent tubes will be trimmed for weight reasons (brass in that amount gives reasonable weight), each funnel will be lashed down with 10 guy wires Nils
  3. Gary, thanks for that lovely compliment, I`m very pleased that you like the model in it`s uncompleted state...., now all vents are made and mounted, the funnels are completed and waiting for final painting Nils
  4. wonderful start Bob, I love these old steam boats... looks very promissing on the model slipway..... Just a question : is it for limited display space afterwards that you have chosen 1:100 and not scale 1:50 or so ? Nils
  5. Very nice restoring work Michael, and quite a task to get all those boats in order again, the result is good looking I`m just reminded of the boats fabrication I still have to push on when I get to that sequence... Nils
  6. Thanks to John Greg and Mark, for your kind words.... and also to all the recent "likes" for clicking on.. John, thanks for your compliment Greg, I have`nt found the right place in my home to display the case with the KWdG yet, when it finaly will be completed. My hobby office is already displaying 5 glass-cased models like a little museum.... Mark, thanks for your compliment, I unfortunately could`nt find any photos of the actual ships horn, so the detail was modeled to what related detail I could find on the web.... Nils
  7. Congrats to this choise Bob, this ones comprising plenty of details. and you have the individual possibility for fitting her out in scratch-build. A very nice nostalgic passenger steamer. Wish you all the best for your keellaying party and much fun with the build... Nils
  8. Thank you so much Jan, Denis, Michael and Albert, for your nice words and compliments.... Jan, yes you`re right, the unmistakeable silhouette is only given with the four stacks on.. Denis, glad you like the progress... Michael, I must admit, I`ve been busy the last days, but the details have come together now. The 4 stacks will deach be fitted with ladders to the top, and the first one will get a 3-tone steam-horn on half the hight Nils
  9. Keyhole surgery Igor !!!, that was the great magic moment, thanks for sharing ! it looks excellent how you manage to set the aft mast within the bottle.... Nils
