  1. Looking good, you can mark the planking up to, on my next ship. But I am pretty sure that your grandchild will not look at it and say nice but you did not follow Chuck Passaro's tutorial did you lol. great progress . Give the engin a couple of revs before given 'er. PS you know we need a doctor note to cover your time off lol
  2. Yes that's it. Lines from the bottle. And maybe a few flightless birds tangled up in the lines. To show how our oceans are poluted. Just saying 😌 yep I Know what's your fixing to do next 😉
  3. Well now I seen it, puddening, thanks for the info. You learn something new everyday. Your anchor looks good Scotty. I will follow along quietly, as I sea I am in over my head lol .
  4. I have never served a ring, not to say it's not done , just I never heard of it. It looks good, by the time you tie on the big old anchor rope you won't see it,
  5. Very nice job. I hear you on the jealous part, after looking at your log I had to go to my stash and hug my Pegasus and says soon. its torture lol
  6. Yes the ring looks a little big. Seizing the line to the ring, not the ring itself .
  7. Your there Cleat, both of you, your logs are so impressive. Auger your work is amazing. Thank you both for your wonderful logs.
  8. Hey I must be on the autism spectrum because I use a micrometer to make ALL my deadeyes look the same. I should change my name to The Good Modeller. Lol But even with that, they are out a little lol. Sooner or later, you'll come across a log that will have a picture or explanation. I would check out @Katsumoto log of the Santa Maria. He showed me how to do ratlines , and I like doing them his way. Not many people like doing ratlines but I do lol.@Blue Ensign Pegasus log has so much information about lines, serving, seizing, attaching, etc... As for how to keep everything from unraveling, tension is the key, don't let go of the rope, lol. Easier said then done. 😉 I have enjoyed following along and seeing the detail you put into your ship, hope this helps.
  9. The First Mate says that is so cool 😎. I say your fixing to make an awesome display eh.
  10. Glad to have you aboard!!
  11. That's very nice.
  12. This is going to be a very cool , like there was any doubt 😉. Looking forward to seeing the water
  13. Good luck at the Vets my friend , man can you build fast, very nicely done , is an understatement WAH !!!
  14. Looking good, if it is fuzzy, I use 400 grit sand paper or steel wool. Sand it down and re spray. Some times I use lemon oil, but be careful glue doesn't stick well to some finished surfaces. 😅
  15. Well thanks to everyone for their ideas on the servo. As luck would have it our meat slicer broke, so I tried to fix it, it's a no go. But now have some gears and small motor for winding the rope. We will see. The first Mate dropped off these sails, all done except for the seizing, and staining of the sails in coffee. I put one one for a peek, looks good to me. Now continuing on with the shrouds and deadeyes I know , I have been doing my shrouds and deadeyes backwards, making them and tied to the mast. But It works for me, and they look even, or close enough lol. I have a few more books coming tomorrow that will help. I am trying to do modeling better as to how it supposed to be done as to how I am doing it. But happy with my progress. So here is were we are now. Lots of outside interference and building has slowed, plus a pick up of some side work that will slow me down for a month or so 🤔. Oh well, See you soon, thanks for looking
