Yes that's it. Lines from the bottle. And maybe a few flightless birds tangled up in the lines. To show how our oceans are poluted. Just saying 😌 yep I Know what's your fixing to do next 😉

Well now I seen it, puddening, thanks for the info. You learn something new everyday. Your anchor looks good Scotty. I will follow along quietly, as I sea I am in over my head lol .

I have never served a ring, not to say it's not done , just I never heard of it. It looks good, by the time you tie on the big old anchor rope you won't see it,

Yes the ring looks a little big. Seizing the line to the ring, not the ring itself .

Hey I must be on the autism spectrum because I use a micrometer to make ALL my deadeyes look the same. I should change my name to The Good Modeller. Lol But even with that, they are out a little lol. Sooner or later, you'll come across a log that will have a picture or explanation. I would check out @Katsumoto log of the Santa Maria. He showed me how to do ratlines , and I like doing them his way. Not many people like doing ratlines but I do lol.@Blue Ensign Pegasus log has so much information about lines, serving, seizing, attaching, etc... As for how to keep everything from unraveling, tension is the key, don't let go of the rope, lol. Easier said then done. 😉 I have enjoyed following along and seeing the detail you put into your ship, hope this helps.

Well thanks to everyone for their ideas on the servo. As luck would have it our meat slicer broke, so I tried to fix it, it's a no go. But now have some gears and small motor for winding the rope. We will see. The first Mate dropped off these sails, all done except for the seizing, and staining of the sails in coffee. I put one one for a peek, looks good to me. Now continuing on with the shrouds and deadeyes I know , I have been doing my shrouds and deadeyes backwards, making them and tied to the mast. But It works for me, and they look even, or close enough lol. I have a few more books coming tomorrow that will help. I am trying to do modeling better as to how it supposed to be done as to how I am doing it. But happy with my progress. So here is were we are now. Lots of outside interference and building has slowed, plus a pick up of some side work that will slow me down for a month or so 🤔. Oh well, See you soon, thanks for looking

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
