    By chance are those CNW train so the wall? I’m old enough to remember the Flambeau 400 from Green Bay to Chicago. My grandmothers house was about 50 yards from the main line in Green Bay. Sorry for the minor hijack. 🤭 Ship is looking great. I was also going to ask how fragile the hull is with such little bulkhead structure. Remembering how I manhandled my Lady Nelson, I would have crushed your hull several times. 😑

    Hi Nils, VERY nice build indeed. It’s like a model taken from photographs of fishing as it happened. Don’t think I’ve ever seen a build like yours (nets, fish etc.). 👍😀

    I have never seen cannon in the captains cabin in any TV show or movie. If they were really in there, space and smell must have been terrible. The movies left them out for affect more than likely.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build.
