So here I'am again. It looks if I have done nothing but.....there are so many decoration that need to be painted. And also all the beams that goes over the ship. Between the beams there are coming also a lot of decorations . But those has still be painted. I'm feeling a little like Vincent van Gogh at the moment But before you are thinking that I abandoned the model ,a few pictures. Enjoy . Sjors

Hi ken, I see a seat in the corner and that's mine. Question 1: How do you get that first deck between the frames....... Question 2: You don't need to plank the lower decks ,even a small piece ? Then something about the yellow cards that you get from your wife. I know the solution.......let your wife also build a ship model I did the same and it works just fine..... Then a last thing. When I follow a build log there should be an popcorn machine. I will place it in the corner ( if you don't mind ) If you don't like it, please let me know and I will remove it. Sjors

I do the same Scott, Start with the mizzen and work forward. The only thing that i see is that the rope you are using for the lanyards are very fuzy. Maybe you can change rope or using beewax? Sjors

Hi Anton, Yes, they give a schedule .......at the time that you don't need it! In the start of the build they re saying make it black above the waterline. I dont, i make it blue. The railing should be sapelli stained, i make them black. I,m now at the stage (80) that they tell me to paint the side of the railing gold....... Nice when you are using stain..... So i have an underground. Same as the wales and other small beams that i have to attach now. I found out that they are having a gold color..... paint time again! Sjors

You'rs are more historical correct then mine ( i think) But she was to beautiful😏 Thank Bob an Mark... @Denis, thank you and i have chosen blue because i saw a scratch build on the internet with blue instead of black. A little update. I have make a few decorations and rudder and a lot of tiny stuff ! I need more time with the painting then other things. So it goes really slowly ! DeAgostini has a lot of metal parts that should be painted. Even the little figures but that's for later. At this moment I am putting the wales on. Not a easy task because I have to lie the ship on her side ! I know I have to look forwards but this is at book number 80 ! When you have a big drawing you can see it in advance. But now ? Sometimes I'm thinking.....go in the closet and stay there ! But nope, it has also a little charme.... ( don't know witch one but it looks so nice when i wrote it down ) Enough complaining and pictures ! Sjors

Hi Scott, A Dutch ship build by someone from Australia It looks good from what i can see. I know from others who build it are saying that it is not an easy build. But from what i can see in your signature it is not the first one. So i have faith in you that can bring this to a good end. I'm now typing on my I pad but when I' m on the big computer ,i will bring the popcorn machine. Sjors

Hi Donn, Welcome again To answer your question. I think Caldecraft is a little bit better. With DeAgostini ( parts work ) you've got bamboo as planking wood. I change that right away with the planks from Caldecraft. But the pictures with De Agostini are better then form Caldecraft and at the other hand. The drawings ( 9 sheets with a drawing of everything ) is better from Caldecraft. I think every manufacturer has his own good and not so good things in the kit. I wish that there was a manufacturing that put all good things together. My next build will maybe be something from OcCre. I always love to have 2 builds at the same time. You can change. But with Occre there is a lof of metal parts like gun carriages and gun port lids. When you don't like that you can change that for wooden things. A great example of that is from Theo, he is building the Santissima Trinidad from OcCre. Take a look at his build log ( you have to search for him ) and you will see what I mean. Long story but I hope you understand what I mean. Sjors

Thanks Donn, It is not that difficult to build her. You have build before so it should be no problem. With the help of all the other members it will also work for you. And make a build log with a lot of pictures ! And if there any questions, just ask. You always get an answer from someone. Sjors
