Hi my friends. Thanks for the comment and I dressed the ladies I'm to old to look at those naked figures all the time when I worked on her @ Sam, You are so right about the Stage Coach ! I have to look in witch box I put it. I know where the horses are..... Is that counting ????? @ OC, Thanks for the compliment that you are thinking that I build the Willem Rex.......but no....... I should be very proud that a model of mine is in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. The same museum where you can find the painting the Nightwatch from Rembrandt van Rijn...... That model ( What is build in 1698 ) ( if you can call it an model ) is standing in the middle of a hall. And it is a beauty !!!!!!!! They have more models in the basement and they are also beauty's ! If you want to see those photo's , let me know ! Anja wants to scratch the Willem Rex in a few years. So I have to buy the book from Ab Hoving.... @ Bob, Thanks ( and that for a master builder ) @ Pat, I wish there where not that many ornamentation. It cost me a lot of paint !!! And there will be even more.... @ Hennie, Keep away form those lady's ! They are holding you all ready from the Aggy. Maybe an update will help? @ Popeye, Thanks also @ Hof, They are standing sexy ( if I may say so ) Mr. Pucko, ...........( no comment ) Sjors

And now time for an little update. A lot of decorations are in place at both side of the ship. I also make the "naked " woman at the front And when I was placing the railing I broke one piece in a few parts so I order new ones..... When that is coming I can go further. In the mean while I wil try to make a standard...... It's gonna be scratch but the shape is gonna be the same as the one from the Aggy. I like that one, it is solid. Sjors

Hi there.... I have pain in my fingers of the typing around the forum but ok. It has to be done ! @ Sam, The Gnomes are just back from vacation.....what do you expect then ? @ EJ, Anja wants to scratch that one in the future. I hope that she wants to do it in a smaller scale otherwise I had to move !!!!! @ Pat, I was a long such on the internet and finally I found them..... But the hardest job was to paint them. I wantend to paint them as she where looking in real. And I think that I did a good job with that Sjors

You make that canon your self with the help of a lathe? And what kind of wood are you using for the frames at the stern? It looks fabulous!!! Sjors -

Hello Kay, Anja dragged me by my ear to this ship yard..... We are both from Rotterdam and we seen the Eendracht many times. Only not the one that you are building but the newest version :-) So I will take a seat in the next row and will enjoy. Not only your work but also the environment. Das Schwarzwald! Sjors -
Hello....... I'm still here I think. Busy with other things then building but.......I have an update DeAgostini send me the replacements and I'm back on course. The stern has her decorations and that's a lot ! And there is more coming. I hope that the hull can carry all that metal...... Beware, I say it before and I will say it again, i'm not a painter. I have done the best i could. The last picture is just showing you the letters. It is impossible to paint that so I have give it a layer of gold and blue and when it was dry, I have scratch a little away. Sjors

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
