Rich, I know an answer but I cannot translate it !!!!!!! I will give it a go..... Bow section is one squire to high. Middle picture with railing is to small. Right picture........good one. What i will try to do is I will put the netting around the bracket things. On the bottom I will lay down a plank ( painted black ) then at the top I will stitch it on the wire that goes true the eyes.... is this making sense ??????????? And yes, it should be diamond shape Sjors

Thanks again for the warm welcome from me and Anja...... Anja is not around for a while here, because of other things that keeps her busy . But she send her regards to all of you ! @ Jan, All the finished models are not in this house.... I was afraid for damage when I move them, so they are at a school close at the old house. All the young kids can watch it and I'm happy with that solution. @ Wim, Thanks. I will give that a try ! Sjors

Thank you for the welcome back It's good to be back ! When I was looking at the pictures again I just feel a lot of shame about the ropes on the lids. That's not what I want to see. So I'll take all the rope away from the lids. And now I have to do it again.... And here comes the first question .....how can I make the ropes a little stiffer ? I have to fill up the wholes who are there at the moment so .....maybe glue ?????????? If someone knows the answer, please tell me Sjors

Hello there...... I'm back After a long period of doing a lot of stuff that has nothing to do with modelbuilding I will try to go further where I left a few moths ago. Moved to another city but in the same country I have my own workshop again . I found out one thing......don't move the model !!!!!!!! I did that and a few repairs where in order. As you can see I have not done all the repairs on the ropes at the gun port lids. All the ropes are not straight anymore ! I have to change that. But I want to show you that I'm still do something. And I have only done the starboard side, so a small repair ( I hope ). Sjors

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
