Robbyn. for the rigging you already put on, unless you already decided not to do it, is take like a dishwashing sponge cut to a small size dip in some black paint and gently rub it over the lines as for the CA i had a bad reaction awhile ago thats when i decided to use one of the cheap masks i bought for sanding. that does seem to do the trick for me because you breath to the sides which is far enough away from wher eyou are applying the glue to not affect me.

yup John i really love this part btw i just realised i am going to run out of eyebolts very soon. acording to the partlist 30 are needed. a quick calculation : 8 for the doors on deck 1, 8 more for the chains on the 2 openings. 4 for the cable that holds up the first deck, 4 more for the walkway . about 7 more for tying of the walkway . 9 for the walkway with chain itself. 16 for the 4 cables on each of the large smoke stacks. tahts already 56 and i have probably forgotten a few

oh after a bit of study it makes sense Augie, but its more thinking about how to get all that stuff rigged up without my clumsy fingers foiling up the parts that are already done. i do that alot like on the kom (but shhh dont tell) one of the rudders is broken off . i intend to fix it soon as most of the work that needs her on her side is done so i wont break it again

thanks John. so far the lights are still working . i stil need to rethink how i wil be wiring up the back 4 rooms of the 3rd deck stateroom but i am sure i ll find a solution with the 3rd deck on i can now start adding the first and second deck headposts. rememebr thta i made a square hole in the 3rd deck . i am now doign the same on the 3rd deck and then sliding the headposts in. since they curve a bit a 1mm brasswire bit is glued in the bottom to hold it in place you can also see the bit of the small smokestacks that go into the engineroom. i mitre cut the dowel then rounded it a bit to get the bend the 3 struts that i asume are there to give support for the overhanging first deck are also cut and drilled. the last picture shows 3 of the headposts in place

i decided to finish off the steering cabin. all that was left was the wiring. bottom bit. both wires are black as red would have been to noticable. (i marked plus and minus to keep them apart) top. this part can be taken out together with the top of the cabin finished the walk way (i have also added the chains but didnt take a pic of that) finaly after varnishing the second deck and finishing of some of the windows in the doors i have glued the 3rd deck on. it all fits nicely.

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
