  1. @tophog thanks i think Sjors is selling them on his bus together with the ones for Johns kom @TMC it was my only option to make them fit . that or remove all the windows and remake them smaller . so i went to easiest way . yeah i actualy printed that one out to hang at my desk at work although its bothering me now was i can see soemthing i forgot and that one of the railings isnt aligned properly so more work todo there . i am learning fast that the main skill to learn is patience. @garward. all pieces already have been sanded before fitting but my procedure is to sand with the finest paper i have then use a slightly damp cloth to wipe of the dust then varnish then redo again. wil be a challenge to get to all bits around the staircase though but i ll do my best
  2. there are several options for bending. my preferrred method is soaking in water then use soldering iron to bend . this works great on baswood. using a steambox like in real is a good option too
  3. planking is usualy a slow one plank at a time process thats why some of us are doign 2 builds at a time
  4. as long as they dont bite the pilots . remember anything here in oz is poisonois
  5. yup glue does reinforce the wood. that was actualy a good tip by "drumroll" Artesania Latina in the instructiosn for my stagecoach paint some glue on the back of thin veneerstrips to make it less like they split when cutting complex forms in it
  6. thanks robbyn and yes i am pleased with them as soon as i fix the little error , glue on the strip i forgot i took off to install it and paint the dowel in the glass beads thanks Wayne thanks Anja was going to put the first coat of varnish on but didnt have time . hopefuly tonight
  7. good job on all teh little benches and the staircase. it looks fine and natural to me
  8. almost made a big mistake. i decided to glue the rest of the decks on. during drying i had a check and noticed that the deck had a bit of a dip between 2 bulkheads. further investigation showed that the deck didnt even touch agisnt the false keel there. then it dawned on me that i actualy never finished fairing the top of the bulkheads. i gently tried lifting the decks off. all came off wiht no damage. just need to clean off the glue. i should have checked.
