  1. I keep wondering what that would be like myself... I am retired. Seriously, retirement is great.
  2. Nice work, Mike. I do have an observation... check here on MSW for other English ships of the period as quarter galleries aren't "square" when viewed from the top but rounded.
  3. Moving isn't a fun project but the results can be. Take your time to move and get set up. I too will be looking forward to your new shipyard and more progress. And welcome to the fun world of retirement.
  4. Beautiful work Tugrul. Congratulations on well done build.
  5. Hi Louie, Up at the top of the page, hit the little downarrow to the right of your name. Then hit "Account Settings" Then click on "Display Name". You can change it there.
  6. Welcome back home, Thomas.
  7. Ainars, I'm not sure of the question. The full-build has the plans for those parts (mast, etc.). Are you needing a reference book? I'd suggest using the full build plans and for the details just reference the build photos where those parts are added.
  8. I'm taking it that Andy's link (2nd post) isn't a good starting place????
  9. Welcome to MSW, John. Just one bit of advice... Have fun! Yeah, we all have those "oh crap" moments but overall this should be a relaxing and rewarding hobby.
  10. I would explore what Phil suggested first. If you're not staining it or finishing it, sometimes white glue and water (50/50) as several light coats will stiffen wood. As always, test first. Note, generally this method works for hardening up balsa wood.
  11. There's other names for that wood so if you can't find it under abachi, check the other names: http://www.woodworkerssource.com/online_show_wood.php?wood=Triplochiton scleroxylon
