Hi Dennis Those life preservers definitely look more realistic now. Nicely done! Incidentally, have you thought about what sort of stand you'll make for your AG? Eg, turned posts, wooden pillars, etc? Cheers Patrick

Hi Mike Beautiful hull! I think you've made a good decision with the epoxy because it doesn't take much for water damage to occur; so a protected hull is definitely worthwhile. Having said that, have you decided what you're going to put on the outside of the hull yet? Cheers Patrick

Hi Igor What a magical job you've done! It would seem from the angle of the booms that your ship's just slightly heeled over as she's caught a breeze. It doesn't take much imagination, then, to picture her sailing off into the sunset, gently rolling across the waves. Where to?. It doesn't matter. Hi everyone After a few rounds of puttying, then sanding, puttying, then sanding, etc, I decided I needed to get some paint on Symphony's hull. So, look what happened! I decided to paint the hull black. At least that way, if there were any imperfections in the hull's surface, what better way to show them up than by gloss paint? Anyhow, I'm not sure if I will stick with the black hull, but that can be decided later on. In the meantime, pls enjoy the photos below. Cheers Patrick

Hi Igor Ok. Here's the way I see it: Deck lights- Good Deck houses-Good Cap rail-Good Deck planking-Good .....BUT...and it's a big but...I still can't get over the winch. Magnificent yet tiny. Complex yet beautiful. Small in size, yet big in terms of achievement! Well done. Cheers Patrick

Hi Dennis It's always the last few details that seem to take the longest; at least that's how it is for me. As for the life preservers, I agree with you about removing the ropes. I always thought they looked unrealistic, to be honest. What/how are you replacing them? Cheers Patrick

Hello and thanks Ben, Bob, Pete, Cog and IMack and everyone else for your Likes and comments. Yep, Symphony's coming along nicely. IMack -the putty I'm using is Tamiya putty, which is a really nice product because it dries quickly and sands to a nice smooth finish. Bob-good comment about the keel. When you say that you thought the profile looked 'bad', is that because the hull is basically a large canoe shaped hull with a shallow draft? It did actually look odd to me as well, but it's growing on me. Perhaps it'll look better when I put the large centreboard keel on? Cheers and all the best, everyone! Patrick
