Evening all, happy bunny today - my Vallejo Surface primer arrived, so I could start work on more figures in my stash, I have been collecting British Light Infantry in Two Up sprues, they only have Two poses but I can mix in some different arms for different positions. I will also use them for the KGL 2nd Light unit as they used basically the same uniform as the 95th Rifles, only difference Grey trousers for the KGL and Green for the 95th.
I have come up with a "cunning plan" I will leave the arms off till I have painted the torso, as this will make painting the uniform details/buttons etc easier, the arms can be put on and touched up then without fear of a messy paint job like I have done on these a few times (shhhh - I hide it - dont tell anyone).
So again no pics as I am waiting to put more paint down first, (oh I have paited the KGL 5th Light plumes dark Green - so they are now historically correct)

A good marketing ploy would be to send OC a bottle of their paint to try along with their topcoat. The cost, not price, of a bottle of acrylic model paint must be pennies, or pence.

I know mate, they are just ignoring me now, thier loss I wont deal with them again.

Not going to like that post, OC. Naturally other then slamming you for technique, they ignored the compatibility issue.
I know mate, what does it hurt them to just send another one out instead of trying to blame my working technique.

Im still at it folks, just was late when I finished and foregot to take some piccies, anyway I have been continuing with the 55th trio, what they actually are - the Three seperate units a Fusilier, a Grenadier and a Volitigeur.
Im still having my battle with the seller of the top coat - they are saying I must have not degreased the figures or used some doggy Acrylic paint underneath the top coat - they say its not thier problem😠

Try gently dry brushing the areas where it is darkest (is that the areas you are on about?) use the same sand-ish colour paint as the main deck, and gently dry brush over to see if it blends it, as long as you did it very very carefully making sure the brush is virtually paint free it might help a bit.
Failing that you always try a gentle stain (Im sure you must be able to get them for model building?) you could go either lighter or sligthy darker, that also might work?

Very nice work mate, all those details really make a difference and dont get me started on your decking - spot on.

Yeah, right! A good excuse. Today business is all about branding. It is interesting to learn, at least in the USA about the many projects made by one manufaturer who then sticks different labels representing different brands.
Roger
I know - told them the damage it had caused (my fault apparently)😲

So once again the French throw another column against the defenders in the farm!!
Looking real good OC.
The two KGL looked good with full kit😉
Thank you Edward, yep they are the last Three I have primed before my Rattle can ran out (Thats why the Brits have been getting a normal flat coat of Acrylic paint to act as a primer - but dont think it did the job) I have been able to raid the penny jar - so to speak and order some Vallejo surface primer - should be here in a few days, so I will be able to get back on more British.
Also I am in debate with the company were I got that Mr Hobby/Gunze/Sangyo Flat topcoat, they are trying to say not all Acrylics are the same and I should have used it with thier own range of paints.

OC, the Tamiya spray primer should be the fine stuff. They do make a coarser type, Surface Primer, which might obscure details.
Yeah its good stuff used it on my planes and first few figures but ran out now,

Very tidy work mate - I had the same problem with stubern planks on my Greyhound kit - seemed to need a lot of water and heat.
