Evening all, on the back of my Mossie Dio - "No peace for the wicked" so i decided to start one of the French line infintry, first I gave the face and hands my flesh colour I followed this with a wash, then another slightly dry touch up over the face and hands, next I worked on the hat - this is a basic flat Black with a Red and White plume and a yellow/gold detail diamond, I followed this with another gentle wash and a slight dry brush.

Right then folks "Take a seat and enjoy the show" here is the Dio -
We start off with my dad chatting with his superior about a sticking Flap
At the same time "Number Two" is making his way to the plane after giving the bases dog some attention,
The jeep is from were the Two mossie pilots is still on the pan with the dog waving its tail.
A spit is brought over as my dad had a quick look over her before working on the mossie.
And at the same time one of my dads work friends walk carrying a gas can for the jeep.
And here is the general over head scene -
And I finish with the dio put on display in my unit with friends.
Thank You all for all the convos - help and likes it has been a fun build made even better by some suprises.

Something occured to me - I went to all that bother to clean up Two gaps on the top behind the cockpit, only to find out they were intentional for the Two blade aerials to slot into, "oh well" I will have to see if I can gently make the openings - opened back up again.

Just a bit of tools logic - do you know what makes a great ca applicator - a piece of fuse wire, you drop a small pool of ca into a tub/vessel then just dab the end of the fuse wire into it just enough to pick up a small amount then apply this where you want, just repeate as needed, its what I do for all things that need controled application.

Evening all, A bit more work on this today, first I fitted (tried to fit about Fifty times) the outer wing fence - they are wafer thin pe pieces almost to tiny to pick up, but I managed in the end by placing them and not breathing till I could put a bit of ca glue along both edges, after doing that and exhailing I turned my attention to the stabilizers, these have plates that glue to the edge and these are then glued in place on the airframe.

Coming on nicely OC, are you doing it as a Falklands aircraft?
I remember watching them on the news. Awesome aircraft.
I am debating doing here as the famous "Sharky" ward one where he took on Four Mirage in one outing at the Falklands.
Possibly this one (internet pic)
