  1. Very nice Frank! That looks great! Looks like you will be laying some planks down soon. JJ
  2. Your Winnie is looking really nice Fred! The choice of coloring for the paneling and wood tones look great! JJ
  3. Thank you Chuck! And all the likes. It was a little bit more challenging than expected but well worth it.
  4. Back in the saddle again! Took 6 weeks to welcome my new baby boy into the world and now I’m back at work and therefore back at modeling. Got one side finished up and just one belt left on the other side. Should all be complete next week and then I can move onto all the guns and other fun stuff!...including removing those massive bolts! JJ
  5. Very nice! I love the colors! I’m very tempted to leave my guns natural now. JJ
  6. Looking forward to another progress update on this Kevin, I’ve been patiently waiting.🍿 I’d like to build this very similar to how you are. You’re paving the way for others. JJ
  7. Looks good Ben, glad to see you building again. What wood are you working with? JJ
  8. Wow! Looks great Jack! What’s the progress look like on the other test builds?
  9. Good point Frank, perhaps just fair down to or below that line, install frames and then continue on fairing. At least then your hull is much more ridged.
  10. Wow those look great together! I certainly noticed the color of AYC and how close it resembles boxwood, but also how easily it can be worked.
  11. Impressive work Jack! Keep the updates coming! Can’t wait to get my hands on this.
  12. I think you could get away with adding the gun port framing prior to hull fairing to add some rigidity to the hull. You will have to fair all the frames anyway. I just held the hull in my lap with a towel when I faired it. I did not add the clips to the tops of the frames which I should have, but I made it fine without breaking one. It wasn’t until later in the build that i snapped one off. Just be careful and go slow.
