Thanks Tim my SD14 build was always going to be a long term build, but LOL all mine seam to take forever, 7 years and counting on the Victory, The Fife which has now been Sold was something i always wanted but the wrong subject matter for what i wanted to achieve, so my next build hopefully will accommodate everything i have ever tried to achieve, and that is a large build in a cutaway format with lots of detailing and possibly a little different, Hence the 1/32 steam trawler

Good evening everyone some of you know i was building a cold war destroyer HMS Fife in 1/72 scale, but i was approached and ask if i would be interested in parting with her, which after a couple of months i sold her on, with the funds from that i have put them towards my next build before i do that i must complete or show willing to the wife that i will complete HMS Victory, which has been on and off the work bench for 7 years now so i have started this thread to use as a testing ground for ideas and research the new build is 1/32 scale - 66 inches long, made by a UK company Mountfllet models BUT there is more (more i hear you say) yes i will be opening up one side and displaying here as a static cutaway here is my first picture of the kit, which will be ordered after the Warwick show which i believe to be early next month http://www.mountfleetmodels.co.uk/st-nectan.html

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
