Thank you Mark, George, Pat, Druxey, Daniel, Grant and Bob.

You are certifiably crazy or a genius, Dan!

That must be what those guys in white coats knocking at my door want :o:D .

Well, here are the final pics - she's all complete. Apart from the accident with the mast the whole build went according to plan, and I am very happy with the result. So is my partner - after all, I built it as a present for her ;):D :

Hi Danny

Magnificent. I've never had much interest in ships in bottles. Still don't :D but I now have an appreciation of the intricacies and the obvious skill levels involved in the building. I must confess my only interest was "how did they get the mast to stand up?" Now I know! Spectacular work as usual. My only request is please make your next build something "period" or if not something unusual.

Regards,

Russell

Hi Danny,

You've "wowed" me again, as I'm getting accustomed to!! I've watched you build the micro to the major and you pull it off flawlessly every time. Now it's time to really step up and tackle a 1/2 scale HMS Agamemnon. If you start now, you'll be able to sail it over for the next NRG conference.

Your partner's going to love it!

Thank you George - she does :D .

Thanks Russell. Note that I've placed the boat into the bottle BOW FIRST. This is highly unusual in SiB builders, if you take a look at most of them the bow points toward the neck of the bottle. This makes it much easier to raise the masts (I won't go into the technicalities of how that's done just now).

Hmmm ... I thought that 18th Century WAS classed as "Period" :D . My next build will certainly be something "unusual", but it'll have to go into "Shore Leave" as it's "Off Topic" - a Step-ladder in a bottle for my tool-crazy 4-year-old grandson :D.

Thanks Pat.

Might take me a little bit longer than that John :D .

And thank you too Christian.

Just found this & went through the whole build several times -WOW! This was an amazing build Danny. The fine detail in everything from construction to the painting is incredible! This makes me want to learn more about using plugs (something I've never done) to make small hulls. Very, very nice!

Hi Danny like Jesse I just went through the entire build. The finesse that you have demonstrated with all the aspects of this remarkable model attest to your skill and craftsmanship,. It is indeed a joy to vicariously build a model like this because I am confident that is the only way for me regarding the ships in Bottles.

Again exquisite work and model.
