Hi everybody and thanks for komments  Omar , Bill and hof00

So I start my Cutty Sark log

First, a little background. I built models since I was a boy - back then it was Airfix I gathered. I also built a few wooden boats -but it was not here it caught my interest razed to build in wood
In 1976 or 77, I bought Billing boats See Adler and built the hull but went dead in having to make the rig. so in 1990 I built the finish after having cleaned it off for 13 years dust.
In 2010 I build my first Cutty Sark - it's Billing Boats 564 - laser cut.
I was not entirely happy with the result and I got the opportunity to try Artesanias Cutty Sark , It was a completely eye-opening experience. there is real quality in diferens in detail and material selection .and in the building instruction.
With this model, I got a building log on a side called Jolly Roger shipyard,
the closed and so I continued on a page - Model Space Forum where I still am today.

Hi All

I have the idea of building with aluminum at locations where, in fact, is used iron, and it is especially the sea rail I am thinking of.- metal for  metal.

The wood that is in the kit are balsa wood. which in my opinion can only be used for gliders.
I use only the deck plates. the wood I instead use is from a scrapped Artesania kit I have taken over - and what is left from Artesania CS

Hi Richard , Tasmanian , Peter and Thunder

Thanks for righting mee prisietet it   :D  :D  :D  :D

Richard Thanks for nice  koment.

Peter Jenssen  Jeg skulle vel ikke kunne skrive til Dig på dansk ?

Tasmanian    EL Chapo ? Hu is He ?

Thunder     . The bedst Kit in my opinion ?

The best kit between Billing Boats and Artesania Latina Cutty Sark for the price is certainly Artesania. when talking about material selection, detail, instructions. This also makes artesania far harder / fun to build if they were from the same factory would Billing be catalysed  light and artesania for hewig to build.

Hello Peter   Fun to write to a Scandinavian on the other side of the earth.

And as you write, it is not good enough that they - Billing Boats do not want to use their own figurehead. and that they now deliver Mark 3 ordision Laser cut and everything and then still with the same old crap that they came up with? 1965-70? It is only the dead eys and the blocks that have changed to wood. since then. They kut due better .

Hi Rudolf

i mad a princip plan to explane how it build up.

post-23331-0-87728400-1452527196_thumb.jpg

After laying the dek plate on , i put wood in the korners betwin the frames  so ther was bagground for mounting the alu vit glu an  tempreary nails .  under the alu begids the "reeal" planking  But to make it little more dificult i startede wit planking first then alu and otsid a slim list to covor ataksion from alu and over this list a squar list  -- Now the aly is glued in bottom and stands by itself only under control in front and back . at this point you have to chape it  and that you do by gluing a squar list on indsid top of alu . and this chapes the curwe of the ship så be kritikal vith the chape it taks as it is permanely . Afterwards you dril tru the squar list and dovn in the dek and glue the round stanchions in.

I hope it not all nonsens to read .  ;)
